I was raised to be silent in the face of sorrows. I understand the reasoning, but I"ve come to a place to throw some caution to the wind and praise God for the healing that I need.

A deepening chasm between my sister and I is on my heart. Please stand with me in prayer. Somedays I want to hate her. She was physically hurt as a child by a lie told to encourage forgiveness. Forgiveness that didn't happen.

Tell all five year olds....when they are four...no lies are good.

NOnetheless...a family was slowly destroyed. Three of seven are gone on now and it is for those that remain that I pray for healing.

I don't even walk on eggshells around them. I go nowhere near them. It's been almost a year. Thanks for trying to understand this. Opaque in nature...any prayer is welcome. Love -student

I have said a prayer of reconciliation for you and your family. My wife has experienced something similar with her sister who she hasn't seen in over 30 years even though they live less than 50 miles apart. Very sad situation.

Thank you. I'm trying to gather courage to 'make the next move'. Feeling quite cowardly at this point... and angry...to be honest.

Hi Student,

I'm sorry that your family doesn't get along. I'm praying now that God will use you ... in His wisdom and guidance to bring restoration to your sister and the rest of the family too, hoping that they will all come to know the Lord!

The Lord will give you courage in whatever you're planning if it's what He's leading you to do. It might be best to wait until you're not angry though. :)

Hugs beloved of God!

It is truly sad when families don't get along. I will pray for you and your family- for healing in the family and for you to not feel the guilt our adversary would want you to feel to steal your joy away from you. And so often when we feel "cowardly," we are actually being cautious. Think about it. Sometimes it is best to be silent and let those who are spiritually undiscerning figure things out for themselves. That's my two cents worth, but I am praying for you all.
