Dear everyone,

About six months ago I first came here because I'd made some mistakes in life, not being a good Christian, and wanted to be saved.

Up until now, I'd been behaving in an exemplary manner, but today I just made the first little step back towards the way I used to be. I regret it immediately, and I intend to go no further along that path.

I ask for your prayers that I do the next right thing from here on, and can just move on with my life peacefully, and that I am forgiven for my mistake today.

Thank you.

I do believe Jesus is my saviour, and I want to serve God with my life.

I consider myself to have been born again when I rediscovered Christianity properly a number of years ago after some time as a "casual Christian". I'm probably due being born yet again though, to be a better person from here on.

I guess there's something I haven't been doing right, anyway. And I know that Jesus forgives us when we are repentant. I just want to take action to show that repentance, and need all the help I can to make sure I don't go down a path that would potentially cause me a lot of harm.

I hope someone comes along with more knowledge than myself because there is something not quiet right about your statement, once you are born again, you can not be reborn in to Christ twice...If you are truly born again and you know that you truly are, than our heavenly Father will be so happy that you have come back to him, you see Jesus said that He would leave His 99 sheep to go looking for the one that is lost, so on this note you are back safe in His loving arms :)...There is nothing to great that we can not reveal to Jesus about our evil ways, we ALL fall short of Gods glory, that is why Jesus died, to save us from our sins...This forum is wonderful, go look through the threads, pray earnestly to God with a godly sorrow, not a sorrow from the world, fall at the feet of Jesus and humble yourself, He already knows what you have done, but you have to speak it to Him from your lips, i hope this helps you...xox...

How did you come up with that as a requisite of His forgiveness?

if we have truly been delivered, yes, we will fall and fail Him at different times as we
learn to grow and Trust and Believe in Him more and more, each and every day -

going to Him in true 'repentance', means 'turning-away', else this will keep us separate from Him,
our personal conviction means that we will follow and walk in His path/Light, as the HS leads us...
we must always honor Him and serve Him in our gratitude- 'new-lives', as we are learning
to 'over-come' our old 'carnal' ways...

Having confessed this, the only one left to forgive you is you :)

If you have believed on Jesus: that he is God incarnate, died for our sins on the cross and rose again by the power of God and have asked the Lord Jesus to save you and have put your faith in Jesus and what he did on the cross to save you, then you are a Christian. It is not about how good we are as people. It is all about putting our faith in Jesus to save knowing that we cannot earn our way to heaven. To me if you know you cannot earn your salvation and are trusting in Jesus to save you and in his work on the cross and resurrection then that is a true Christian. Yet at the same time, one can be a Christian and feel like they cannot sin too much because if they do, they will go to hell in their opinion. This however is not true. Psalm 34:22 says:" The LORD redeems the soul of his servants, and none who trust in him shall be condemned."

You can also be a Christian and yet doubt your salvation. I have been there. For a long time I felt I could not call God Father. One thing that helped me was having someone lay hands on me and pray for me to be filled or receive( can't remember what he said in the prayer) with the Holy Spirit. If you do this, I strongly advise you to find a mature Christian to pray for you. Not just anybody. I prayed for you.

Recall, my friend, that our Lord is forgiving. You are clearly repentant for what you did and He will of course forgive you and love you just the same. I have prayed for you, friend. God Bless you
