You are in my prayers. Lol, if it helps, two of my friends used to be deathly afraid of people and spent most of their time in their rooms. We met on the internet and it turned out they lived a few blocks away from me! Pretty soon, we started calling one another and then, after a long while, we met in person. I helped them overcome their fear through prayer and more visits and now, after a year, they are going to parties and stuff with me. So, hang in there! You'll be in my prayers!

You don't need prayer to stop being afraid of people. Just stop being afraid of people.

Hi Ellie,
You are in my prayers.
I am for the most part homebound for health issues, I know how you feel.
Feel free to pm me if you need to.
Also, a friend of mine got a service dog trained to help her with her fear of leaving her home, it was a good help.
I will keep you in my daily prayers for healing.
God bless, pickles

i used to have deathly fear of just the thought that someone might approach me and engage me. i used to practice the art of invisibility(attempting to keep from being noticed) just so i wouldn't be singled out for attention. Although i wanted people to get to know me and to have friends i had such a fear that if they took just one peek inside me they'd instantly reject me or not find me flavorsome enough to continue beyond the first conversation.

i think i know where you might be coming from.

The LORD has helped me tremendously in this area.

Prayed for you :)

I prayed for you. I pray that you will be able to overcome your fears. Try asking yourself, "What would I do if there was no fear?" Most importantly, try to serve others. When you loose yourself in serving/helping others, it is easier to break the isolation. Have you ever thought that perhaps isolating yourself is a selfish act. It's a way of not serving God's children. If you isolate yourself, you do not serve God because you can not be an instrument in His hands. This is just a thought. I am not saying that it is your case. It's just good to think of things from different perspectives. Anyway, I prayed for you. Best Wishes.

This really made me laugh. Thanks, Ellie, for a smile when I really needed one :)

BTW, I used to be deathly afraid of people and social interaction. I don't know if it's the same for others, but I found that I kind of started to just "grow out of it" around 30 or so.

I will pray for you. What you need to get over is the fear itself. The fear of the fear is what the main problem. I have had anxiety, fear, and panic my whole life. One of the techniques my therapist suggested was to make myself have a panic attack. Well it was almost impossible.

Perhaps some therapy and medication might help. But definately pray for this burden to be lifted from you. But just remember that God sometimes says no.

We have to go Through the Fire, sometimes.
