Hello everyone,

a new school year has just begun.. it's my last year at college. Our schedule is so crazy and there is just so much pressure. I'm currently job hunting, but I still haven't been accepted by any of those places I've applied for. I'm worried, anxious and depressed. If it wasn't for God I'd have thrown my entire life away. Everything's too much, not only school. I'm afraid that I'll get really bad grades at the end of this year. I'm afraid that I won't get a job for next year. I'm afraid that I won't pass the driving test next week... there are so many things that I'm worried about and I doubt that I'm going to make it.

So please.. please pray for me. I'd highly appreciate it. God bless you <3

I'm worried.

I'm anxious.

I'm stressed.

I'm depressed.

I'm afraid.

You have wayyyy too many "I's" in this post of yours. Give it all to God and stop dwelling on it. :)

Hi cat Firstly I want to say it would be wise to listen to the orange tabby cat lady but also I want to say that there is a reason why God wants us to lay all our burdens on him.
We all have storms in our lives and if we focus on the storm and not him it will over take us. You know When Jesus called Peter out of the boat to meet him in the middle of the storm more was going on than a mere test of faith it was also a message. You see Peter at first even surrounded by the terrible winds and waves and the thunder and the lightning only saw Jesus and thus was able to walk on water because his eyes were not on the chaos around him but on Jesus, but when his focus came from Jesus and to the chaos and storms around him then then he sank into the water.

Jesus will sometimes purposely allow us to be lead into a chaotic storm because he wants to teach us to keep pour minds hearts thoughts and desires on him alone not the storm around us. In fact it is in the most chaotic storms of my own life that I have found how easily stress anger fear worry and doubt can so easily consume me but if my hearts eyes are set solely upon him and if I put him first above everything else and if I spend as much time with him as possible and desire to become closer to him everyday however and whenever I can then even when these storms surround me and even when everyone else in the house is full of such severe stress anger anxiety worry and fear I am at peace and have joy and hope.

Cat your in the boat Jesus is waiting and calling, now tell me where are you looking?

Do not be discouraged. I know it can be rough trying to find a job. Don't give up. Keep on applying fervently for jobs and you will land one eventually. If you don't get a job you applied for, don't worry. God very well may have something better for you. The important thing is not to give up. Try not to worry about the grades and passing your driving test. You can only study so much and then try the best you can. You're an intelligent lady and I believe you can get past this year with good grades. Just study hard and try your best. Give all your worries over to God. If you are struggling in a particular subject, find a tutor, tell the teacher you are having trouble, ask for help, or go online or YouTube to help. Give all your concerns over to God. It won't help worrying about it. Say to God something to " I know you care about me. I am concerned about these matters( name what they are) and I give these worries over to you. I am trusting you to open up the door of employment for me. Thank you for the strength to get through this year at school and thank for the job I will find as I keep on seeking." I will pray for you.

He will give the desires of your heart as you delight in Him. I would like to encourage you to trust God and do your part. I felt just like that when I started college. By my sophomore year, I had grown accustomed to everything and it was just fun and relaxed. Hang in there! Prayers for your peace and housing and success.

I remember it well. Add to that I also knew, going into my senior year, that I could not do the job I went to college to learn how to do. I had already failed that possibility and rightfully so.

Heads up! Every senior feels that chasm of despair as they realize the rubber will have to hit the road in a mere eight months!

Stuff that helps:
1. God is sovereign. You didn't notice this but somewhere very near you, is a tiny little animal trying to make its way in the world. It might have been an ant, a squirrel, a mouse, or a microorganism. You didn't notice. God has been taking care of its life too. He planned it. It's tiny little life will fulfill its purpose no matter what that is, because God loves his creation. And that which he has chosen to love the most is homo sapiens. And out of all the homo sapiens ever, you are chosen by him too. So, he has your life planned out exactly right for you because God is sovereign and loves you.

2. Failure is an option. It is a legitimate option. BUT do we give up simply because we might fail? Nope! If for no other reason than we have to know if we could or couldn't. But there is a bigger reason -- God. God has it planned out. He asks you to walk it with him. Your job is to do your best, and to stop worrying about what you have no control over. (I did fail in my major courses. I never could go in that field because I did fail. However, if I did not have that degree because I kept going instead of quitting, 75% of the jobs I've done since would never have been offered to me, because they all required a college degree. And I got that. So, although I failed, I am not a failure.)

3. Every adult you have ever met was scared to death to start out life on their own. Think about that. Now, how many adults do you know who didn't develop a life just because they were that scared?

Be scared, but do it anyway. (There really isn't a second choice.) You are one of the privileged. The King of the Universe calls you "Daughter."
