Heavenly Father through Faith in your Son may this sister be relieved of this tormenting spirit and calmed by your Grace and love. May it be so.

JSB,
I am not sure if uv mentioned some in ur other posts, but one thing ive found helpful when i was in the dumps and any of those really unpleasant or repulsive thots came, was listening to godly music and with powerful words, like the psalms hymns and sacred songs recommended for us. Better yet, if u know the words, sing and speak them out loud. A mighty Fortress is our God... Immortal, invisible God only wise... In moments like this i sing out a love song to Jesus...

Read "Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners" by John Bunyan.

Should be free online or even free maybe in apps.

If you broke your arm, do you think rebuking it will heal it, or would you go to a doctor get get it set to be healed?

OCD is no different. It is a wound that needs treatment.

If you broke your arm and did not get it treated, things get worse, not better. The same thing with OCD.

I want you to be whole, but that requires treatment, not trying to muffle the wound.

Lord, somehow, some way, give JSB the ability to have her wound treated. Amen.

No, i had not ocd, but had to deal with other stuff that we humans deal with: pride/arrogance, temptations, backsliding, doubt and fear... and these we deal with one day at a time.

Lord, we continue to bring to You jsb, that You, only You can heal and restore. Although You use Your people to minister to her, may she truly and totally humble herself, seek Your face, turn from her wicked ways if there be any in Your sight, so that she be healed and give You back all the glory. In Jesus' mighty name we ask.

I would encourage you to tell something like this to God: These are not my thoughts. I refuse to accept them as my own. I choose to not be afraid of these thoughts. I give you any and all anxiety that comes with these thoughts. Thank that you love me. Thank you that you don't condemn me.

If you are truly not sure if these thoughts are coming for your heart, and I highly doubt that they are, ask God about it. Ask him to reveal any wickedness or if there be anything in your heart contributing to these thoughts and to show you what to do about it. If he does not show you anything in your heart then it is not coming from your heart at all.

Please don't try to fight away these thoughts, as bad and anxiety provoking as it may be. In doing this, it will only make things worse for you. As you accept the presence of the thoughts( not meaning you enjoy them in any way) and as you don't fight away the thoughts, the bad thoughts may increase for a time but after a while it won't be as bad. I am not guaranteeing that you will never have the thoughts again. That is unlikely. But I do believe that as you let the thoughts be there, not dwelling on them, but not trying to forcefully get them out of your mind, things will get better.

Dwell on God's love for you. Read about his love. Celebrate his love in song and worship God.
