Hey guys, last night I had completely spaced out and do not remember any thing and instantly had a migraine which would be considered a possible seizure (I have family history with this). I've been taken by ambulance a few weeks ago because I collapsed as a result. Please be praying, I can make it through my work day...

Why don't you see a doctor instead of worrying about work?
You could have had a stroke, instead of a seizure.
I am praying for you.

I am in the process of being tested for epilepsy and no it can't be a stroke and I just started this job and thank you

Marieh, speaking as someone who has epilepsy, the symptom you describe of passing out and not remembering it, is NOT a usual symptom for epilepsy. It's never happened to me, and I've been having them since I was 5 years old..

It COULD be a symptom of a heart issue, though. Or a brain issue, where an artery is clogged and not enough oxygen is getting to your brain, thus the passing out. I would get a scan done of your heart and brain both, just to be safe..

Hey Blue, I appreciate your knowledge and concern, however I have been around epilepsy my entire life due to my mom and sister having it as well as relatives having it too. I am sorry you have been diagnosed with it, it is definitely not fun. The doctor told me I could be having absent seizures where people cannot grasp my attention for about a minute. The passing out is still under investigation, but could be part of it. They did do a scan of my heart and everything came back normal :)

I've never passed out with it either. And when I have the petit mal (absent) seizures, I'm fully aware of what's going on and I remember what happens.. It's good that the heart scan came back clear. :)
