9 years ago my wife's mom, whom I love as my own, suffered a massive stroke. The doctors said it would be lucky if she survived the night, and that for sure she wouldn't survive the week. But she did gain some strength back, and for the past 8 years has actually been able to have somewhat of a life, thanks to my wife who has spent most every day by her side. We were even able to travel with her several times back to her home town, where she would have chosen to live after her husband died (10 years ago) except for the protests of her other children, who never have the time to visit her. In 2016 we were able to take her back home one last time for one last Thanksgiving supper with her siblings and their families. All of them were extremely grateful to have one last holiday with her.

Since then she has had an ongoing series of mini-strokes and siezures that have now left her bedridden and in a near vegetative state. Her days now involve nothing more than sleep and crying. She rarely opens her eyes or responds to anything anymore. Yet everyday she lingers on in pain and misery.

Please pray that God will release her from this fleshly prison and take her home. She fought the good fight for far longer than any expected, and has been a faithful servant of God her entire life. But the time has come to end her suffering. It is past time for her rapture to come.

Lord, we pray for Your Mercy, that you would honor Marriet's faithfulness and call her home, that she may be free once again to serve and worship You in the fullness of health that You promised will come to all of us.

Amen.

Yes lord I pray that if it is her time, you will take her to dwell in your
presence quickly and free her from this earthly prison. If you have other
purposes, then I pray you will bring understanding and physical and spiritual
revival into this situation.

Wipe away her tears, let her be filled instead with your peace and comfort either in
this life and certainly in the next.

Give physical and emotional strength to Ricky and his family. Bless them for taking
care of her and honouring her as a parent. I pray they will know for sure that
their sacrifices have not gone unnoticed.
