Poor Roxie :( Will pray for her. I ate a whole lot of chocolate once and threw up because of it when I was a kid. I was fine after that.

Tell your parents to keep their chocolate where she can't get in to it again.

To be blunt, Roxy was saved by GOD, despite your ignorant folly in giving her chocolate. :/ Chocolate is toxic to cats and dogs, Ann..
Since you were there to witness it, why didn't you stop her?!! :p :p :p (just kidding)

I didn’t witness it. I saw her vomit, then i walked to the room and saw the evidence on the floor.

When we had a dog growing up, no one even knew chocolate was bad for dogs. Just the same, no one EVER gave the dog chocolate. Spaghetti? Sure. A bone, sure. But chocolate? No way! It's a dog, (even if he was part of the family), and chocolate is chocolate. Dogs do not need chocolate, and won't miss what they never had, and.. It's CHOCOLATE! Better to eat it, than give it to a dog. lol

With that, how about not assuming the dog was intentionally fed chocolate? Our dog was never intentionally given chicken bones, (which we knew splintered even back in the Dark Ages when I was young), and yet, the dog ate chicken bones. Sneaky beagle. If there was a way he could get it, he got it! (His biggest record was eating 72 raw meatballs out of a batch of 144. Dad stepped away from the kitchen for five minutes and whomp. One beagle was able to get his tongue over half the table full of cookie sheets with meatballs on them. He wasn't that tall. He shouldn't have been able to reach that far. He's a beagle. He shouldn't have been able to eat that much. lol)

Dogs are like that. If they can find it and chew it, they'll try it. Chicken bones, chocolate, foam from the cushions, soles of shoes, and even, on an occasion, dog food. So, try not thinking everyone needs to be yelled at because their dog ate something it shouldn't. Otherwise, all we're going to do is yell at dog owners every day of the year. lol

my mouth!
