So I want to thank everyone who reads this and most important all who will pray for me.

I really do not desire to live this world being dull and useless. I truly desire a purpose from God, if I can just be an inspiration for someone I will be honored. I feel like I have so much inside of myself, so much to share. But because of fear of rejection, and the fear of people and what they may think or say.. I've allowed myself to be quiet and ashamed. God told me one day while I was in church, he said " do not be afraid to praise me" it didn't really hit me until recently when I notice that I am ashamed of him in a way, because when I want to speak about Jesus to someone I hold back because of fear of how they may respond and that's being ashamed, so I definitely do not want to be ashamed of God because I do not want him to be ashamed of me. Also, I do not desire to live a life being ungrateful.. I tend to be ungrateful at times and I do not want to be because people have it worse than others and I am understanding the true importance of being thankful. ( I have a lot to work on) but I desire to be worked on. God can use anyone who is willing right? So my prayer request is to be used for God to have a place in the world. Often times I feel invisible, or "worthless" or not valuable, or not good enough. I am TIRED of feeling that way. There has to be a purpose for me. Like I said, I have so much inside but how do I get others to see me? I am requesting that you all pray for me. I desire to do something so amazing and great, I desire to SPEAK without fear and have a voice. I LOVE encouraging others and I love talking about Jesus, People need to hear the truth these days, There is so much hopelessness, and darkness, people are dying every day because they feel like there's no hope or nothing to look forward to. (I've felt this way many of times) but I can tell someone or anyone that if you are alive and breathing and able to see the sunlight there is hope for you.. someone needs you and someone loves you. So I hope you all keep me in your prayers, sincerely. I can really really use it. God hears each and everyone of you. And I will be praying for each of you as well.

Sunlight, you have lots to be thankful for and that's part of praying. We enter His presence with thanksgiving, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God, in Christ Jesus concerning you." So is counting it all joy, part of praying: its the only way the rest of the verse makes sense: "Pray continually," We struggle with this until we enter into rest: to come and learn of Him in Humility, to be tamed by God as friends: to be in the relationship of Jesus in constant fellowship with the Father. Acts of the intellect to encourage are of little value, compared to learning to remain in fellowship with the Father in all circumstances: growing in Faith that Labours through Love. You may need references from the bible to see that to encourage with our intellect is of little value: "in all labour there is profit but the talk of the lips leads only to pennies." "Lean not on your own understanding but trust in the Lord." God is so much Love its no wonder we feel inadequate, but He Loves us more than adequate. When we know His Grace is sufficient, we learn to find rest in Him and its easy to pray then. "It's vain for you to rise early and sit up late for He gives His beloved rest." Then rest in God becomes a prayer of quiet, leaving our cares with Him, remaining in admiration worship we change from vain striving to "strive to enter His rest."
Is been 40 years in the wilderness in case you still feel inadequate, and still a slow learner.

Understanding is not what is necessary as we have the Holy Spirit to lead us in the truth. We don't have the truth in our understanding but in our Spirit Joined with the Spirit of God. It's unfortunate for those who think that understanding is truth; as the verse expresses, "Lean not on your own understanding but trust in the Lord."

Just the same I should try to explain, the verse that follows used to be my favorite verse for years, until recently.

“But they that wait upon the LORD, shall renew strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.”

4 actions are described in this verse and the most overlooked is the most important. Most would only count 3 actions like I did for years, not considering that "They that wait on the Lord shall renew strength," an act in prayer.

Now my favorite verse follows and describe how to do this "One thing is needful," that makes the rest possible.
"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

We seem to get mixed up between pray without ceasing and remaining in continual fellowship with God, when it's the same thing differently. There are different kinds of "Pray without ceasing." Wait: a prayer of quiet serving the Lord, counting it all Joy, in everything give thanks and the list goes on with the rest of the context, in this chapter describing living in the presence of God.
"Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesying. Prove all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that called you, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us."

Father May we find rest in learning of Jesus in Humility, to be tamed as your friends.
"Let no one turn you away from the simplicity of Christ."

After responding to your comment about not fully understanding,
Went out for a walk down the road to look at Christian books in a second hand store and opened this one: Christ our example. In the middle of the book to this: There is a remarkable example of this in the Confessions of St Augustine. This great book is in the form of prayer from beginning to end; yet it narrates it's authors history and expounds the most important of His opinions. Evidently the good man had got into the habit of doing his deepest thinking in the form of conversation with God. If this be what prayer is, it's not difficult to understand how the Eternal Son should have prayed to the Eternal Father. Indeed, it is easy to see that in this sense, He must have prayed without ceasing.

This is not unusual for me to get this kind of confirmation, though usually from opening the bible. Now I have 2 more books to read: the one I bought for 3 dollars and Confessions of St Augustine should be a PDF free download. There are many such free books by Catholic monks and sisters on prayer. I am not involved in the catholic church but they have the best and most difficult to read books on prayer, I have a 10 page study that began with The dark night of the soul by St john of the cross. An attempt to simplify his writing, I have done that but have not succeeded much in simplifying prayer, except it's a good beginning, Farewell.

After reading your prayer again it touched me, don't forget what your praying so that the answer to your prayer doesn't take you off guard, also be patient. "By patient continuing in well doing we shall reap if we faint not."
Thank you Lord for the privilege to pray and be in touch with you. Thank you for cleansing our heart as we walk in your light and have fellowship.

You can master your fear. Here's something that may help you; A lot of old time preachers used to go out into the woods alone and practice preaching the gospel. A lot of deer and rabbits heard the Good News!:D

Do not be afraid - God is with you. They are simply people, the same as you. If they have a question you can't answer, tell them you'll study up on it and get back to them. Don't stray from the gospel message of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

Most people seem grateful someone cares enough to share the Good News with them.

Praying for you.
