TMJ is causing my back teeth to hit. I am praying hard over this. Can't sleep anymore. I am taking medicine and fighting it as hard as I can in prayer. Thank you for the prayers.

I've had TMJ since 1992 and yes, it can be very aggravating at times. A dentist may be able to help with an alignment to mitigate this condition. I have said a prayer for you and will remember you in my morning prayer tomorrow before I go to work. It could help tremendously if you could just relax your jaw and facial muscles when you eat. The dentist can advise on techniques to alleviate this condition.

I suffer with TMJ as well. Most of the time it isn't too bad, but when it kicks in my neck, teeth, jaw and face all hurt and my head will throb. It can last for days. It's a miserable experience so I can relate.

It's called TMD too but for me I think it's TMJ,because I "intentionally" lick my teeth which I suppose seizes up particularly my ear joints and pressurizes my head a little,I found that simply "not moving my tongue" and "relaxing" gets me back to normal, also keeping from "popping my ear joints" helps too,but it's nothing I haven't been through,my body has been through "alot" of pain so really for me it's not "very painful" just more of "annoying" of course learning to move my ears out of intrigue I suppose didn't help matters either lol.

Thank you for all the prayers! I was having a good break from the pain and around last Friday I started hurting really bad again. TMJ, in my experience, can be tolerable once I learned what not to do and I've learned to live with it, until it recently became unbearable. I have tried splints, TMJ specialists, dental adjustments and I am at my wits end here. I had some recent dental work done and it has sent it to a new level. I am kind out of ideas and really stressed. It's affecting my sleep and hurting my teeth. My bite keeps moving which causes my teeth to hit wrong and get sore. I am praying for all of you who have TMJ. A lot of us do here and that's no good. Hope you all feel better. Thanks so much for the prayer, it feels comforting to know strangers care.
