Marriage

Hi,
I am new to this. But I wanted to know if I could have a prayer request for my marriage as my husband is having an affair. He said that it has ended yesterday but I am not sure. His behavior has become one of a kid in his 20's with the partying and thinking only of himself. We have 2 children and we are all being effected. I have placed it over in Gods hand as he is the only one that stop this by revealing himself to my husband. The pain is great and hard to bare. I love my husband with all my being and I pray that one day he will become a true christian and see that marriage can be a great blessing. Everything is about him. Please pray for a turn around in him to come back to his family with his heart.

Here is a promise for you too.

Remember "the wise wife edifies her home, but the foolish one crumbles her home with her bare hands." Be gracious and seek Christian marriage counseling for both of you ASAP.

If possible, sell everything and both of you move to another state with a Christian congregation which will encourage the healing of your marriage. The purpose of moving is to allow your husband's state of mind to realize that he is starting over new with you. A new job, new address, new friends. That's what grace is: to start clean when we are so guilty.

In counseling sessions or whenever possible, use the kindest words to let him know that you are hurting because you still love him. Let him know that you are willing to forgive and forget, and start over.

If this does not work, then ALWAYS CHOOSE FOR THE LORD. After all, in God you are safe and secured.

Several years ago, I saw a poster: "A ship is safe at harbor, but that's not what ships were made for."
Same principle here: a wife is safe in her marriage, but that's not what wives were made for.

You be courageous, be strong; cry, but don't let emotions take over. You have children to protect; well, this is one of those times when the wife is NOT the weaker vessel.

God wants your other half raised up..and one with you in GOD. Persevere...dont listen to any voices out there that tells you to move..forgive...BE STRONG IN GOD....LISTEN TO GOD. He will speak toyou in regards to your marriage as you seek him. He will assure you that you are to stand ..and wait. God is all knowing. I am also in the same kind of situation and it has really strained my marriage. I have been praying for him and have now turned to praying for Gods will. This is because i know the amount of energy I had put into praying for him almost drained all my faith out.
I thank God it is now better and i feel more at ease even though times of pain and suffering are frequent.
