I realise prayers can make a difference. So I'm praying for my church friend Carol. Same as me She lost her husband . But Carol has turned to drinking wine at night. I feel She needs support but I've got my own issues. So any prayers would be great. I'm handing this to Jesus. Amen,

There are no better hands than those of Jesus. Remember, He tells us to pray without ceasing and so I will be praying for Carol in my daily prayers.
Heavenly Father,
Nothing is too difficult for you. Knowing this and believing this I ask you to embrace Carol with your loving arms. Let her feel that embrace. Bring her healing and peace at this time and throughout her life. Give her the graces and support she needs at this time to turn from drinking and to you. I ask in Jesus' name. Amen
Share with your friend Psalm 9:9-10

Lord give Carol the strength she needs to overcome this troubled time in her life. Heal her broken spirit with your love God. Comfort her God and be the friend she needs now, Lord God. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

If this death is not recent, Carol needs to go to grief counselling, or a grief support group. Prayer is the start, but she needs to connect with people who will help her move through this grief, away from the bottle, and towards Christ.

I hope you can urge your friend to go to grief counselling. Or maybe take her with you to a grief group. Praying for both of you.

Lord Jesus, I lift up Carol to you in prayer, that your would remind her that abiding in you is where she will find her peace & strength. May she know your presence & look to You daily to meet her needs. Help her to walk through this time of grief, and may you surround her with loving brothers & sisters in the Lord, who will be a support for her as well. In Jesus name..
