8 What’s This Got To Do With Us Now ?

So what’s this got to do with us now? Maybe you’d best ask that one of yourself; every generation since Paul’s has thought theirs was the last. And they were right - our lives could be demanded of any one of us today and we’d be there. I guess what this has got to do with us today is, what are you going to do with the information? Are you going to stick with him patiently to the end, preparing as He would have you do? Or are you going to cut and run when the heat’s on? Are you as ready to endure to the bitter end with Him, as you are to be raptured tonight by Him? That’s what it’s got to do with us now.

What will get you through is seeing and remembering what comes after all this. We see a thousand years of paradise on earth, how cool is that? Beyond that, we see a whole new creation where mankind lives in nations with God and without the hordely hindrance. Imagine, a new creation that we inherit, and live in, and work in, and play in, and explore in… Think of all we know of in this first creation, then consider that it’s just a small fraction of what’s really there, and you’ll see how little we’ve just scratched the surface. I can’t imagine that God would do any less for us in the next creation than He did for this one. And that’s what you have to keep in mind… standing there at the dawn of the first day of that new creation, knowing that this time it’ll evolve His way… without end!

Great post. I was right there with you. Then you said "this time it'll evolve His way..." It makes me think you think it evolved the first time, not His way or something. Were you being devil's advocate mocking evolution or do you think that was what happened?

Even things that were created evolve. From the fall in the garden till the return of Christ, humanity's time on earth has evolved over the ages under the influence of satan. On the new creation, we will continue to evolve under God's influence.
