need help with my son

:(I have an older son that has been diagnosed as schizophrina-bi polar. He loves the Lord so much and the Lord has brought him a long way from drugs and other things. He is trying to get off social security by opening his own business. He is such a go getter, but ever since he has been working on his business, he is always saying things, like people are tapeing him, has gps on his car, cameras on him, has his phone tapped, and says people he knows comes to him telling him that people came to me to get information about him, and he says they have threatened me to giving him information.
We always have been so close more than my other 2 children because of sharing the Lord. First of all I told him no one has ever came to me about him and he calls me a liar, and says i'd take it to my grave.I'm so upset, I don't know what to do. I told him I can't keep going through this, and haven't talked to him for 3 days, because we always end up arguing because he brings it up that people are using me to tell them things about him. I don't know what to do because I'm afraid for his life and what he is capable of doing. He doesn't believe that he is sick either. He makes threats to other people about his business succeeding and theirs will fall. please does anyone have any input on this!! I'm desprite. I love him so much and he loves the Lord with all his heart. please write thanks 11daisy

I am so sorry for you in this. :( Mental illness can be such a taxing thing to deal with. :(

I was married to someone that was bi-polar, and he too did not *think* he was sick.

I wish I had more advise to give...because I understand the despare and worry.

Find a homeopathic/ naturalist doctor. They may be able to help him more than you think. Most problems today are having to do with nutrition. The foods we eat do not have the value they used to have. You could start by finding a chiropractor that believes in good nutrition ans go from there. I have seen a lot of good things come from this type of treatment.....ask if they know someone that does "muscle testing" for nutritional purposes. Blessings on your search.

Schoolmarm...not bad advise, BUT.....if the person does not believe they are ill or irrational in their behavior/thinking....then that will all be done in vain as well. That is the nature of the problem. :( If they do not think something is wrong..then any sort of treatment you seek will not be viewed as valid for them. They will feel painted into a corner, and will be defensive because ultimatly they will think you do not believe in them, OR that something is wrong with everyone else, and NOT them. Its a viscous cycle.

A word of encouragement...I have schizo-affective disorder. I understand what he's going through. And I know what you're going through. I eventually took the meds...I didn't have faith in the doctors and was so paranoid not to trust them. Today, I'm largely recovered. I found in the midst of my turmoil a faith-filled, Spirit led church which confirmed that I needed to immerse myself in scripture. I know God personally today, as much as I can, but more importantly He knows me. If you can convince your son of his need for Jesus, together you can heal. Jesus heals all! If you can't convince him, let go and let God...that's easier said than done, I realize. I had to let go of my children at a very young age, because I was too ill to be the mother I wanted to be. They are strong and courageous today. As am I...praise be to God!

Fear is something that can get away from you, you can start to invent things that are not real. You have got to keep things in perspective. In your sons case it sounds like mental illness, paranoia of some kind. Do you know of a Christian Doctor that will help? Tell him the symptoms of your son.
