Dear sister, may God bless you for still caring for one who has so obviously hurt you.
I believe your ex is feeling like a terribly selfish person for leaving his girlfriend when she so obviously needed him. It is only natural, if he has a conscience he would be in terrible emotional pain, depressed and guilty for the choices he has made. He now probabably thinks he is a terrible, worthless person.
Of course he would not be in this position if he was close to God. Until that happens, perhaps you could get the word to him to stand by his sick girlfriend. This will make him feel like a decent human being again.
As for you, precious child of The most High God, He has a wonderful man and a perfectly wonderful life waiting for you. Stay close to Jesus, talk to Him often, read His word a bit everyday, and find a church where you will meet many loving brothers and sisters to help you on your way!!!
I pray that God heals this girl with cancer quickly and completely, leads the boy to salvation, and pours out His richest blessings upon you.
Have a great week in Jesus !!!
Love in Jesus Christ

VegHead;379664]This guy, he was my first boyfriend. We were so close, but I ended it because I got scared. It's been a year and now his new girlfriend got cancer and he left her because he couldn't handle it. But since then he's fallen into a depression. He won't go to class. He doesn't go home some nights. I get calls from his mom at 2am asking if I've seen or heard from him. He is contemplating suicide because he thinks he is all alone in this world now. What should I do?
I may feel a bit better knowing that people are thinking of him.[/quote]
