I
I read the book of Daniel recently. 10:16 "I said to the one standing before me, 'I am overcome with anguish because of the vision, my lord, and I am helpless. How can I, your servant talk with you my Lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe'". I repeated that prayer the same night.
The hardworking earn their money, but have it swept away by the rich. The poor no longer even get the corners of the fields. Appease the market and your life will be saved. Depend on this god for water, food, shelter and even love. If you are poor, especially homeless, and accused of a crime, we will appoint a lawyer that doesn't have time to defend you. A man's character can be judged not by how he treats the powerful, but how treats the weak. What does this say of man for last 400 or 2000 years. Like a very insignificant loser who endured the worst of punishments for committing no crime. Of course, he won all in heaven. Robert Burton in Anatomy of Melancholy does an excellent job of listing the evils in his time for about 130 pages. Even God says in his heart Gen 8:21 "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done."
Of course, there is the future right, but things are predicted to only get worse before they get better. My "vision" of it should be written in a science fiction horror novel.
All I have written has been in the abstract to avoid lengthy stories and examples. Unlike Daniel, I do not hear God's voice or his angels. I believe God exists. I pray I will know Him well. I'm tired of anger with the world and with God. I have a bad anger problem. What do I do?
