I felt a very strong pull to go into the Army. Not the Marines, not the Guard... the Army, when I was 23. I setup a meeting with a recruiter and my mother talked me out of it after a lot of arguing. She was convinced that the Army doesn't actually pay their recruits, etc.
That was a turning point in both my life and hers. I have continued to feel that pull, albeit not quite as strongly until recently, when it's picked up strength again. I had thought I was too old to sign up when I turned 25, but now I am considering just going even though I just turned 29.
Say a few words in prayer about this for me.
I am over halfway through college, but my current career path is not looking bright.
My name is David Kettell and I live in Bangor, Maine.
