I had backsliden from Christianity when I first met my husband, so the fact he was Catholic did not bother me too much at that point. Then when I recently came back to Christ (with a bang, I might add!) I jumped back into my faith and I now really fear for my husband. It's difficult for me to see him go through all his Catholic traditions and rituals, knowing he is following Paganism and where I know he'll end up at the end of times, when Christ comes back to the earth to collect his church (the people).
He is one of the kindest people I've met but he's very strong minded and too much of a scientist in everything he does. It's difficult to get him to see what I see. He does come to the bible church with me but fails to see how what he does in the Catholic church is wrong and will attend mass after the bible church. I have challenged him to take a mini vacation away from the Catholic church for 3 weeks and in that time he can't do anything Catholic - no praying of the rosary, going to confession, praying to Saints, or anything like that. These are all distractions from building a strong relationship with Christ, in my opinion. He's taken on the challenge, but I just pray that his eyes will be opened to the truth. He is doing research on Catholicism and is finding things that challenge further research, which is a good thing.
His name is Miguel. Please pray for him and pray that God keeps me strong. I pray that God will give me the right words and the ability to communicate in a way he will understand.
Thank you
