i'm not feeling it. i am not feeling they way i was before and what makes it worse is i am not really having the desire i did to get back on track. this always happens to me i will do good for a short period of time and then burn out and not really care anymore. i am tired of this cycle. i want it to be one or the other, either i am going to follow God fully or not at all. this in between crap makes me sick. i want to have a fun life but not one filled with sin. i just want some christians in my area that are like me in what they like that i can connect with but that seems to be impossiable. the people in the churches around here are nothing like me. the people here period seem to be nothing like me, male or female. i don't know where to look. i know i am in awkward position because what seems like everybody my age is either in school or just got out of school and still have that high school mind set that i hated when i was in school. i just want some friends to have fun with and the icing on the cake would be if they were christians that were stronger than me and could help me out. i just don't know

Heya :)
I think I understand how you feel. For a while im all out for God, then I get hurt or whatever and end up so distant.
But just the fact that you can pick up on this yourself shows you have discernment.. which shows spiritual maturity. And it is so awesome!!

When iv felt that way, I always remember this preacher guy I met once. He travels to places in the world that christianity is forbidden and then goes and preaches and all this crazy stuff. He has been on death row before, and God set him free, hes had guns aimed at him, been in prison numerous times.... I walked up to htis guy and said to him 'I want to do that too' and what he said suprised me, he was so serious, "you will have to be willing to die."
I am so sure he wouldnt be 'feeling it' on death row... just as im sure that Jesus wasnt feeling it either when he hung on the cross and said "oh God why have you forsaken me?"
its not about feeling it, as iv recently learned myself. Its about living it everyday.
I felt alone in my faith too. and eventually i went off track and got angry at God for not providing me with a christian friend who i could really relate with on the God side of things. it wasnt until really recently I realised that we cant ever rely on people to keep our faith... we have to learn to rely on God totally for that. though going to church or a youth group is also important. but just pray for a friend or a bunch of friends, and in His perfect timing, God will provide you with the right people.
You are not alone with the way you feel.
Ill pray for you
God bless
Ash

I think the problem is you're trying to live in extremes all the time, devout to sinner sorta stuff, and my advice would be to live in moderation. Try not to sin, but everyone does, so don't sweat it.

yeah so true. we cant ALWAYS feel Gods presence just as much as we cant ALWAYS remain sinless.

Just like any other relationship, our relationship with God has its highs and lows. it isnt always hyper. there are times wen you just have to rely on him. its faith- something you cant see, but its there.

....what's the alternative???.....giving up????.....that really ain't an option......we need to view our life from an eternity perspective......truly our momentary struggles are preparing us for so much more than we realize......
