There's always something special about a bond with a horse and their owner... Mine started off really rocky with Juneau. He bit me... and tried killing me twice... and I used the BB gun on his rear when he tried hopping the fence to get to the mares... (he's a stud)

After two years of hating each other something changed... we connected... how? Because of my horse Robbie... who is also his paddock buddy. I started loving on Robbie daily and Juneau became jealous.... I felt sorry for him and began to groom and talk to him like he was a good horse... even though in my mind I disliked him...

But that dislike became love towards one another... this past year he and I shared a secret bond that no one knew about except ups. My mom thought I still hated his guts until this past week.

Somehow or another... Juneau broke his leg. We're not entirely sure what happened.... but it is broken... he will be unable to walk any more... Having a previous injury rendering him a walking lawn ornament from 5 years ago (and the Lord thankfully helped heal him) this time.... he won't be able to get healed anymore... we have no choice but to put him down...

Slowly as the hour comes closer to his doom day.... my heart realizes I am losing a part of my soul with my friend.... I know I will survive... but I will be lost without him....

My prayer request is this. Not for me, but for my mother. She's in shambles. She dearly loved Juneau as well.... and she has already cried several times over the matter.

Also, please pray that I will be strong for my mom as well... My sister unfortunately doesn't care either way if an animal dies in the house.... I am not like that... I see all our animals as children and losing them is a great deal of hurt....

Thank you.

Annie: I've heard you help people with horse problems.

Tom Booker: Truth is, I help horses with people problems.

Tom Booker: Sometimes what seems like surrender isn't surrender at all. It's about what's
going on in our hearts. About seeing clearly the way life is and accepting it and being true to
it, whatever the pain, because the pain of not being true to it is far, far greater.
