Hey all,

Just a quick prayer request...

Lately I've been getting migraine more frequently which has been interferring with my college and clinical placement attendance... I'm rather worried I'm not going to be able to pass because I have missed so much particularly with my clinical and with the hours I'm supposed to put into my assignments...

I've had a constant headache and migraine aura flare-ups for around two months now without much relief from any of my meds... and the other day I had a hemiplegic migraine attack (a migraine that can present as epilepsy or stroke) when I was at college which has really exhausted me...

I really could do with some prayer for a pick-me up as the migraine affects my mood too, for some pain relief and for sound sleep (I get woken by headache in the night)

Thankyou all so very much,

*E-J*

Praying in Jesus that all will be healed soon.

I have a silly question for you.:)
Do you sleep near an electrical box or have you gotten an electric alarm clock reciently?
My daughter battles migrains, and we found out that those who suffer them are very sensitive to eltomagnetic emmisions.
( sorry about spelling:)
Once we moved her to another room and got rid of her alarm clock her migrains have almost compleatly been eliminated.

God bless.

Thanks Everyone!

No pickles I do not live near any powerlines or anything of the like... or rather not to my knowledge (everything keeps changing around here)

I'm trying tart cherry melatonin supplements to help me get a better quality of sleep as it is a naturally occuring substance and wont affect my mood any further like prescription melatonin... we'll see how that goes...
I find I sleep far better when I stay at my fiances house, I'm not sure why... I guess it could be that I feel safer in the same house as him and his flatmates (as my flatmates are hardly home) especially when we get those pesky aftershocks... (I live in Christchurch...still getting aftershocks from 7.1 magnitude quake last year)

I'm going to investigate my diet and what I'm consuming as there have been many theories linking migraine and mood disorders to diet and lack of nutrients in which the body needs to repair itself etc.

Thankyou very much again indeed, I very much appreciate the prayer as the latest hemiplegic migraine has left me dazed and confused for a fair amount of time...

Im so sorry, I know how terrible migraines can be, interesting thing is that earthquakes do relese a huge amount of emp energy.
I will keep praying for you in Jesus, it sounds like alot is simply the stress of all you and all there are going through.
I have learned that when I praise Jesus for the things I fear the most, He quickly brings His rest and peace to me in it. :)

Huge hugs and God bless.

Thanks Pickles!
That truly means a lot! I am becomming more and more educated about emp energy...

Today has been wonderful however and I felt rather energised and was able to make it to college for an entire day without needing a nap in the afternoon! Today has been the first day in a while where I haven't needed to take any analgesic medication to control pain either... it's been fabulous!

I also sat two exams today, which I am confident I have passed! (results are pending)

Thankyou so much for your prayers my friend...

God bless you!
That is good news, thankyou Jesus!
We who live in these places of shakey grounds know, all we are is trusted to Jesus. :)
I have come to see this as a blessing, as it calls one to trust in Jesus for the ground we stand on. :)
The more one is given to this trust, the more joy one knows in Jesus!
Hugs and God bless.

I am praying for you with all my heart, I now suffer from horrible very very severe migraines that I wake up with every morning now, as they have become more frequent until every day, and can not do anything until afternoon, if they are not bad, med takes the edge off, and I am blessed that it is the least of them.. I am 60, and had a lifetime of experience and education and doctors I have seen, and have educated myself over this lifetime, and tried every med, and preventitive med insurance pays for.

I learned from Mayo Clinic one thing that triggers is stress and anxiety, it releases a chemical in your brain that opens up the blood vessels and triggers a migraine. Foods were the big issue for me at first, I have had lifetime experience, and have studied and tried so many things in my lifetime. What triggers is different for everybody, same as what meds prevent and help. I would not wish this severe pain and all of the rest that comes with it on anybody! I have just met someone, not a Christian who feels "sweet death" would be better. I have felt that at times, but thank God, I don't know what I would do if I weren't a Christian! I feel God has brought this person into my life, and feel I can be a witness to them. This subject caught my eye since they are a big part of my life, and in part caused me to be on disability. Chronic migraines can cause depression, not from being "bummed out" but actual physical causes. Unfortunately for my insurance does not cover enough med to last me the month.

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that you are doing well! And that God is making a way. But to anyone out there I have learned when God leaves your pain there is purpose in your pain. Let it drive you to Him! Oh dear sisters and brothers, that is what He desires, He gave His life for you! I would not trade the pain for what I have gained from it for anything this world could offer! There is nothing to compare with the intimate relationship and how He has changed me, it has been dramatic, and worth it!

You are young, and college is stressful. Scripture that ministers to your heart personally and can go to in those times is such a comfort. God will use even this to t to push you to the person He has destined for you to be, and that person He planned you from the womb is beautiful!

My prayer for you or anyone else out there is that God says He will encourage you in your affliction (Psalm 10:17) and nothing can stand against Gods word! It will not return void but will accomplish what it says. His word is truth and light, and I pray His encouragement will come into your being. I pray for you that His favor will surround you like a shield ( Psalm 5:12). I pray that with His help you can advance against what is a troop in your life and you will scale every wall that is before you ( Psalm 18:26) that you encounter! I pray that in college He will instruct you and teach you the way you should go, and that He will counsel you and watch over you! (Psam 32:8) May His favor and blessing surround you and His peace rule your heart. I pray all these words that are Your words, Father, that are sharper than any two edged sword! Father You are faithful to Your word and it will not return back to You void. I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the power of the blood He shed on the cross. Amen

Thankyou Bille!
What a blessing it is to read your post at such a time as this! As I'm currently wrestling with insomnia and an incredibly low mood which is generally a prodrome to a migraine.

How horrible it is you too have migraine in your life and for so long, I'm glad that you've discovered some of your triggers and I pray for your continued healing both physically and emotionally!

God is truly wonderful and I am truly blessed! I have been very stressed about money related issues as I'm studying full time and don't have a source of income (only my student allowance form the government which doesn't even cover rent) and have been living off my savings which are beginning to run out. Today as I went to pay my rent I discovered that somebody had put money into my bank account, enough to cover my rent, my bills and my groceries for the week with some money left to spare, which means that I have a bit more time to secure a job before my money runs out completely!

What a huge relief! God is good!
