Well, soon, my grandma will be going to a nursing home for rehab/therapy for a 2-3 months. I'm confident that things will go smoothly there! And maybe Grandma will be able to minister to the nurses or the people in the nursing home (she always does when she goes to the hospital...she did a little last time she was at a nursing home.)!

My mom always said the gold oin everything is how God brings His glory to every thing that happens in ones life. :)

Still praying for her and all of you in Jesus.

Hugs and God bless.

My grandmother broke her hip exactly the same way last year! She healed up and uses a walker now. Family members take turn staying with them too to help them each day in their old age.

Lord, please help lilChristian's grandparents to have wisdom and accept the changes they need to make now that they are growing older. Please bless them with recovery and a special blessing for all those that help them. Amen.

Ok, so Grandma got moved to a VERY nice nursing home yesterday. I don't know when she'll start therapy, but we're expecting good results!! We got her settled in for the most part, and so now it's just recovering :)

Dear sister, I pray that God will heal your grandmother quickly and completely without complications, in Jesus name, Amen.

It is wonderful of you to be there for them, may God pour out His richest blessings upon you too, in Jesus name, Amen.

Love in Jesus

On September 30th, I went to my grandparents to stay the night so I could assist them the next morning because my grandpa has a doctor appointment (he just came out of the hospital recently), and he's weak right now, and my grandma can't walk. So I was going to help get my grandma's cart out of the back of their trunk. Well, I did the usual thing. Prepared to go sleep, and then stay asleep until I needed to get up. Well, there was a change of plans at around 12:40. My grandpa called for me, asking me to come. So I fumbled around for my phone (it was pitch black in the room and so I needed some sort of light so I could see), and I went downstairs asking Grandpa what was wrong. Grandpa told me that my grandma had fallen. I heard her in the background being in horrible pain. So the squad was called, and they took her to the hospital. X-rays were taken, and we found out that she had broken her femur. In about 2 and a half hours, my grandmother goes into surgery. Please pray for my family and I. Thank you

This is an old forum...but please pray for my grandma a bit more. She's been in the nursing home for a while, but care hasn't been the greatest. They started shaping up, but now Grandma is sick. and they don't know whether she's gone back into ketone acidosis or if she has a gall bladder infection....

Ok, so about 3 days after she was admitted, she was put back in the nursing home. We found out she had a urinary tract infection, and if I'm right she was on the edge of Ketoacidosis (I found the right medical term for it. Ketones are something different, but they sound similar.). But she's back where she belongs for now (because the nursing home isn't permanent, it's just temporary), and I just pray she's better before Christmas.
