On September 30th, I went to my grandparents to stay the night so I could assist them the next morning because my grandpa has a doctor appointment (he just came out of the hospital recently), and he's weak right now, and my grandma can't walk. So I was going to help get my grandma's cart out of the back of their trunk. Well, I did the usual thing. Prepared to go sleep, and then stay asleep until I needed to get up. Well, there was a change of plans at around 12:40. My grandpa called for me, asking me to come. So I fumbled around for my phone (it was pitch black in the room and so I needed some sort of light so I could see), and I went downstairs asking Grandpa what was wrong. Grandpa told me that my grandma had fallen. I heard her in the background being in horrible pain. So the squad was called, and they took her to the hospital. X-rays were taken, and we found out that she had broken her femur. In about 2 and a half hours, my grandmother goes into surgery. Please pray for my family and I. Thank you

I forgot to add, that I am home-schooling, and so that's why I was able to stay there with them.

Well, the break was worse than what they thought. But in spite of that, the surgery went well. Just didn't go as expected. Grandma will have to go into a nursing home for about 2-3 months. My grandpa might go there too just so he can be with her (both sides of my grandparents are dedicated Christians...and my grandma and grandpa are like (this is what my mom calls them) "the sweet old couple just like on Hallmark" and they both couldn't live without each other.). But we aren't sure yet. So keep praying!

Finding out that Grandma isn't doing good right now....not being responsive. Mom says she can't wake up. She says it's not a coma, though. She says they think it's a chemical imbalance...

Well I asked what happened that she wasn't able to wake up, and she has an infection somewhere, which played a big part in her not waking up. They don't know what else is happening. Please pray they find out soon!

Ok so what's happened lately: Grandma was moved to CCU ward because she was in ketone acidosis and metabollic acidosis (I think that's how they're spelled.) and her heart enzymes were raised...to be short, she was dying. But somehow, they were able to bring her out of it, and little by little she is improving. Now, last time I heard, her sugar levels are not very stable (she's a brittle diabetic). Though I just texted Mom and asked how Grandma's doing, and she said she looked better. So Grandma's taking baby steps. But improvement is improvement. Thanks for your prayers!
