I have an addiction to smoking (considering I am not legal age to smoke it's a huge thing to be a smoker). I am trying to quit but I just go crazy. Like right now I don't have an smokes left, and I am so angry I am snapping at everybody, and feel like I could punch holes in walls. I need to kick this addiction please pray for me

I went through the same thing with other stuff...

It seems like the only thing that matters is your desire for something--say cigs?

But what you can do is take all of that needyness and lay it before God in prayer...thats what I did...and just wait there before him...and all the 'pangs' you feel look at as pangs for the Lord...because they are if you just stay perservering before God...

i smoked for ten years... so i know aaaalllll about what your goin through.... The first couple weeks are really hard... but what helped with me was eating say a blow pop everytime i felt the urge to smoke... that game me something to do with my hands and it was the same motion as putting a cigeratte in your mouth... chewing gum..... i really will be praying for you, i know how hard it is! If you need anymore ideas or help, just message me

I was a smoker for MANY yrs, its a hard one to kick . I used the med Chantix i think thats what its called , anyway that helped tremendously and it didnt hurt any that i had the flu and pneumonia at the same time :eek: been about a yr and yes often i still want one especially when stressed out but NOW it is a mind over matter thing.I still need prayers not to pick em back up again, my point is , it can b done . wish you the best with this for sure :)

I would just like to say that it's been 65 hours since I have had a smoke :) Praise the Lord he gave me strength.

I wish my partner Rod woudls stop smoking. Everytime our bad neihbour upsets him he smokes again. I pray we get a house transfer, he said he would try to stop then.I also want to get married.

happyface, and Reborn32 I will be praying for both of you. Reborn remember you can do anything through God who gives you strength. I was smoking close to a pack a day on Saturday, today I haven't had a smoke it's been 79 hours. It can be done. I didn't think it could but it can because with God on our side who can be against us? God bless
