Hi,

I am new here...came looking for prayers and advice.

A bit of background...I am a christian, accepted Christ in college after growing up in a non-religious home. I am the only one of my parents and 2 siblings that know Christ.

My younger sister (21 years old) has recently made some very scary choices...first she moved out of my parents house with her boyfriend after knowing him about a month...this was about 2 weeks ago. She said that she got a job at a bar, and I just learned that she is not a waitress but a dancer...my heart aches for her because she is so young and I fear where she is going to end up. I am so afraid because I don't know how to talk to her about this without her cutting me out, and then who will she have to show her Christ? I just don't understand how her boyfriend could be okay with her dancing and showing herself to anyone who wants?!?!

Please pray for my family...my mom has been crying for days and I'm 1.5 hours away from them where I live with my husband.

If anyone has advice on how to talk to her, please respond. I know that God can do all things...I am just in shock and I know that she needs all the prayers she can get.

God bless you, you are a child of the Most High God. Love your sister with no end. Let her see the love that Jesus has put in your heart. That is a special kind of love that doesen't need the love of money or anything else of this world. Keep her in your prayers and God will hear you, but always show her kindness and let her know where your faith is. God bless you and your family.

Omighty God I pray for this dear child. She is a burning light that burns along. Take this little light Lord and let it burn so bright that they will have to cover there eyes. Remove the shackles from there eyes Lord and let them see this little light of yours. In Jesus name, amen

The bible says Kindness leads to a change in heart, I think the reasons she may be dancing is either because she wants to fill the void of love or she is desperate for money. I think the former is the reason, all I have to say is be the kindest person to her and don't look down on her or criticise her but instead try leading her to a life that will make her whole again. I'll be praying that God may lead you on what to do and that she may open her heart to God. GOD BLESS

Hey, I'm already praying for you. I just wanted to let you know that I know how you feel, I have two older sisters and I use to say that I'm more wise than them two together. Unfortunately their choices end up to affect the entire family and sometimes I don't know what to do, just like you. I don't know what words to use with them, 'cause their hearts are so hard, you know? That's the moment when I know that all I can do is pray for them, pray for the Holy Spirit to flow in their hearts and make rise that seed that, someday, I planted.
Just remember God's with you and with your mom, let her know that! :)

nor his ear too dull to hear."

Hello Crymariaig, I am really sorry for this news, and yes of course on will pray for you.... Famillies are so so important and the love you have for your sister is so clear and god bless you for that! It is refreshing to know you won't just let go of her but instead want to help her. I undertand your fear and are worried incase she rejects your help for getting in her way of her own life choices, I pray that your sister will see the Light of Christ and that he will slowly guide her away from this rocky path and lead her to a rock free path where you and your sister can walk together. Just remeber you don't need to really talk to your sister but more in God, he can do his work on her, but just have faith in God's ability he will surprise you, he works in small ways and the smallest thing goes a long way, i have been through a tough time recently and he certainly has shown me his work, trouble is its in HIS time not ours, have faith, and have patience!

God bless

Jonnno

Jesus we place this whole family into your hands...show Crymariaig how to be an example to her sister...give her wisdom how to pray for her whole family...break the strongholds and lies that would cause her sister to believe that how she is living is OK...shine Your grace, love and light into this family...protect her sister from harm...mind, body and spirit...reveal the shame in what she is doing to herself...with out causing it to become a thorn of lies, making her to stumble later on in life. Cover her sister with your abounding grace. In your mighty name Amen!

Romans 5:20
Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
