hey believers c'mon support me by praying for self control, thats my cross I NEED HELP!

Instead of asking for prayer, start receiving grace from God and walk in the Spirit so that you will not fufil any lusts of the flesh, that includes self control. When you take up that kind of cross and deny yourself, you will bear much fruit.

so put it on. mentally visualize as well as saying it outloud " I put on your self control Jesus" and then believe that because you cried out to our Lord that He hears your cry and He will deliver you. Just gotta believe His promises and not let the devil trip you up with his lies. Rebuke the devil when you feel like the self control issues come up again. Remember, we are in a spiritual battle that we cannot see but are a huge part of. Don't let the devil have power over you when everything you need is inside of you where the Holy Spirit lives. Remember that as a child of God we have victory over every area of our lives through our Jesus because of his sacrifice on the cross for us. Remember God is love & peace and the devil is all the yuck crap. We as children of the Lord have more power over the devil then he could ever have over us. We simply have to cry out Abba, Father Help Me! and he really truly does swoop in and deliver His children. Lord Jesus I lift this soul up to you in prayer asking that you renew their faith in you Father and that you help them to truly and clearly see you and your will for their lives. I pray that you guide them in your truth and I pray and ask all on your beautiful name my Jesus, amen.

self control is about personal responsibility. the word self means you. you must control your self. asking through prayer for help in accomplishing it is fine but the ultimate responsibility is yours. like exercising your muscles to strengthen them you gain self control through practice. be the parent of your inner child and start by saying no

Even though this thread is 4 yrs old, God works all to His good perpose. :)
