I come from a Jewish family and my dad could literally have a stroke if I become baptized. It is a very tough situation. I have read and studied and sought counsel from clergy members. I did read from a source that I find to be reliable that says any Christian can baptize another. I have also read that this can be done online through video/audio features. If there is a Christian here that reads this message, I pray that you will see the logic in this and that you will be willing to do this with me. It will spare my dad alot of pain, and I believe that falls in with Honoring my father, as written in the Ten Commandments. If I am misguided, I pray that God will make that apparent to me.

In Jesus' name, Lord please send me an understanding Christian that will baptize me in this way. I praise him forever and walk with him eternally.

Jeffrey,

Sin is at your door if you do not walk in faith. Who does the LORD say that you are?

Are you not the righteousness of GOD in Christ?

Are you?

God does not give a spirit of fear and He is not the author of confusion. We know a tree by it's fruit, and the Holy Spirit does not bear this type of fruit. So, now, stand on Christ, proclaim who He says that you are by faith in Him. The just shall live by faith and this faith bears works of LOVE.

Stand on Christ, declare His Word, give Him Thanksgiving.

Keep thanking Him until you have peace. It might take a while or it might take only a few minutes. Go against everything that says to stop thanking Him.

Once you have peace, then give Him praise. Keep praising Him until you are in His courts and in His presence.

Once you are there, cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

The LORD will make Your way straight and will lead you along the paths of righteousness for HIS names sake.

He will uphold you by the right hand of His righteousness.

Keep seeking His presence.

When you become aware that you are out of His presence, get back in it.

You can do nothing without Christ.

So abide in Him, magnify Him with thanksgiving and praise.

Get to know Him, and follow where He guides your heart like a gentle hand of a loving Father.

Don't worry about everyone else.

All men must work out their salvation with fear and trembling.

Luk 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Luk 12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Luk 12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

God is Your Father if you abide in Christ. Honor Him, but, do it in the path of faith and courage. Not in anxiety and confusion.

Follow Him... but, first get to know Him by being with Him, by being around Him, and taking a step at a time.

Baptism is symbol of your walk with Christ. You are not walking in faith if you are symbolically baptized prodded by fear and confusion.

You will know if you are walking in Faith because you will be declaring God's Word, declaring your identity in Christ, lead beside the still waters, and doing the impossible by God's power and Spirit, not by your own strength.

The water of baptism represents God's Word.

God's Word is the baptism that you need to be baptized in.

Christ will make a way through His Word for you just like He made a way for Israel to pass through the Red Sea.

His Word will allow the wheat to pass through the way, but the leaven to be drowned in the water.

As Jesus turned the water to wine, so will the Water of the Word be turned into the Blood of Christ, inside of you. Keep pouring the Water of the Word into your 'vessel.' Stand on your righteousness obtained from Christ to make a way through the 'water' as you read the things that are 'hard to be heard.' Stand on Christ when you read these things in the Bible [trusting Him]and it will cleanse you (purge your conscience of dead works) and sanctify you (separate you from the spirit of the world and unto the LORD).

Baptize yourself in His Word, declare who you are in Him.

When you enthrone the Lord upon Your praise, ask Him to lead you to the 'symbolic' act of baptism, walking inside faith.

Talk to Him about it your thoughts concerning symbolic baptism and your dad. Ask Him to make a way for you, if you really want to be symbolically baptized.

Don't do it out of fear and confusion though, you don't want to follow that spirit, you will never be able to please it.

This spirit of fear and confusion is what you will work your way out of as you declare God's Word, letting Him fight for you.

The Lord's burden is light and His yoke is easy.

As you persist in your thanksgiving and praise, to enter His gates and courts, take notice of the battle.

...Mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and maybe even physically...

Recognize the battle.

Certain battles are for you to take up your weapons of warfare that the Lord has given you. He will train your hands to war and make your arms to bend a bow of steel. Other battles you are to praise your way out of. Some battles are mourned through with much travail, reaching for the hem of His garment as our last effort, lest we die.

Read my other posts concerning your weapons of warfare.

Get into His presence as often as you are able, and relate with Him. Talk to Him. Build a relationship with Him. Get to know Him. And follow Him as you learn the way that He walks in.

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Walk in faith and sin not.

Who are you in Christ?

I am more than a conquer in Christ.
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
I am the righteousness of GOD in Christ.
The LORD is my righteousness.
He delivers me because He delights in me.
His gentleness makes me great.

Declare it.

For He says to you:

Psa 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Jeffrey you should tell your dad how you feel. Have a heart to heart talk with him. The Jewish people are God chosen peolpe but when they rejected Christ God turn his back on them. At the end of the tribulation when the antichrist is about to wipe them off the face of the earth they will cry out to God acepting Jesus as Lord and Saver and that's when the Lord is coming back in all his Power and Glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Only the ones that has Christ will see God. Talk to God and ask him which road to take and wait on him, he will answerd you. Eather way you need to be baptize with full submerge.
