According to most articles written by pastors on the net about divorce, the only option is that you pray for your spouse and God WILL fix the marriage, if you leave, and divorce, you can never get remarried (aka that means I will never have a non-abusive family on earth) or you risk your eternal soul (the adulterer shall not enter heaven, whomsoever divorces commits adultery jesus quote).

Thanks Jesus, I get it, stay in this marriage, sorry you will never have a family without abuse, but he who divorces his wife causes her to commit adultery, and who marries the divorced woman commits adultery, and the adulterer shall not enter heaven.

Yes,Im aware of what the Bible says on divorce but I do not believe God expects anyone to stay in an abusive marriage.

Since Jesus WAS God, I don't think He just forgot to mention it.

If your husband is abusing you he is in sin. He is wrong. If he refuses to stop and will not seek help you have no choice left but divorce. No where in the Bible does it condone abuse. No where in the Bible do you hear of a husband beating his wife,or emotionally abusing his wife and Jesus says 'you deserve that,you stay and put up with it'. Abuse is sin, its wrong and if your husband refuses to stop you should leave.

Your husband has asked you to leave, right? You don't have to concern yourself with filing for divorce. The Word says you can separate, "for God has called us to peace." Get your own place and seek counseling for depression and suicidal thoughts, dear. You need to get healthy so you can take care of your precious child. God is faithful and will show you the way. I'm praying for you, Tiffany.

God did speak of it, Tiffany, in 1 Cor 7.

i can only assume your husband is not saved, and what this is, beyond abuse, is abandonment.
Shane demanding you leave is exactly the same as Shane leaving. it's being abandoned by an unsaved spouse.
it's legit, according to the Scriptures. i pray you can see this.

adultery is a picture of idolatry, which is why it's so wicked.
abandonment is the very same.

i do hope you're still reading. AuntieAnt has given you very good counsel.

He knows your heart and he knows your husband's heart. I believe God makes 3 allowances for divorce: adultery, abuse, and abandonment.. Your marriage ended long ago and for all intents and purposes, is over.. Hubby has asked you to leave, so leave. Get the divorce and move on. Oh, and try adopting a more positive attitude. Maybe then you'll be able to hear God's voice w/o all this negative "noise" cluttering up your mind.

This is the consequences and damage of an abusive spouse.

Apparently though there was no biblical provision for a woman to not submit to her abuser so she doesn't succumb to loss of faith and suicide.

Good job all omniscient covered every issue of life God.
God never calls for anyone to submit to that treatment. Stand up for yourself and for the well being of your baby. Submission does not mean 'bowing down' to mistreatment. A husband is supposed to 'love his wife as Christ loves the church, even laying down his life for her'. Devote your life to Jesus. Get yourself commited to following His will, and if your husband keeps treating you like that, even when you stand up for yourself, then I think it's time to step away from eachother. Don't give in and go back until he's gotten himself submitted to Christ. Jesus loves you, girl. Focus on Him.

Hi,I'm going through a similar situation,I just got counseled by my pastor,and he did mentioned that if I get a divorce, the bible says to not marry again.So, I have decided to separate,and if by separating he doesn't change,then be it,I'll just stay unmarried,rather than put up with verbal abuse,and cheating.So,do that..
