A family from our Church who I am very good friends with have their son in Intensive Care - he is on death's door.

He has had Crohn's for a few years now. He is 23 and got married on the day he came out of remission. His Wedding night was spent in intensive care and he has been home once in the past 3 months to sleep in his own bed only to go back to hospital early the next morning.

He is a Christian but his moral is very low. A drug which could save his life is not authorised for use in NZ which frustrates his family. ALL of his organs are affected and beginning to shut down and his whole body riddled. He was 50 kilos and has dropped 14 kilos in a week.

His whole family and our Church family are praying for a miracle because that is his ONLY hope. His young wife is full-time at Uni, working a part-time job to help support them as well as spending night vigals at his bed side.

Any prayer would be much appreciated for this family.

Thank you so much.

blessings to you all <3

A short update on this young man's progress.

His mother said at Church on Sunday that he has been in an induced coma for a while now. They flew up there last week to be with his young wife. They were questioning God and in the end his mother started praying he would die if God was not going to heal him. Things were very desperate indeed. His body has started dying from the inside out. His bowel was rotting inside of him and the Doctors had come to the conclusion that there was little they could do. The next step was to empty his bowel through his nose! Yes, I am sorry, it is graphic and awful!

But God is God and he works his ways even if he seems to take a LONG time to do so! Amazingly his bowel began to clear! He is still on deaths door but this has helped him in the time being. He is still in an induced coma and while it is a small glimmer of hope, it is hope. I thank you on behalf of his family for your prayers. Please continue to do so.

Thank you, and God bless you lots :)

Father, please be with this young man and his family. Bring them comfort and guidance as they deal with this awful disease. Lead the doctors on how to treat him. And most of all...please heal his body completely and make him healthy again. Amen.

I'm living proof that God can heal Crohn's disease. I was actually diagnosed with Crohn's at age 23 back in 1994. In 2000 I had to have surgery and was told that because of how active my Crohn's was that it would return in 3 to 5 years. However, in the meantime I had gotten saved and have not had an issue with my Crohn's in the last 12 years.
