I grew up in a Christian family, but I'm not sure that some of the people in my family have ever really asked themselves what it means to be a Christian and the implications that has for their lives. When I read 1 John and think of my family, I am scared, because I'm not sure that people in my family are walking in the light. I do not see the good fruit from them that one should see from Christians.

Could you please pray for my family and ask God to convict all of us to live our lives in accordance with God's word and to draw us closer to Him and to eachother.

This may give you hope. I wasn't sure if my family was saved either. I've been praying about it. Recently my sister called. Clear as day, God said, "Talk to her now." So I asked her if she had accepted Jesus as her Lord and saviour. Then...another sister called. Clear as day, God said, "Talk to her now." I now know she's born again.

I think God can do that for you too. With God all things are possible.

I ask God to help you and to guide you. That He answers this question for you, that your heart is comforted. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I understand how you feel because I am going through the same situation. I will be praying and believing that God will soften the hearts of your family and lead them closer to Him so that they may be saved and used as God's mouthpieces.

I have the same issue. But I just found out it's worse than I thought. My sister may have been saved at one time, but doesn't follow God now. She doesn't believe God exists. She believes in evolution and is an advocate of getting "in God we trust" out of everything. The way she explained it, she seems to not want her daughter to know about God at all when she's older. She gets very heated when it's brought up but yet... she went to church with me when I came to visit her town. So I don't know where to go from here.
