Thank you beloved

- Not too sure about the Haggis, hehe.

I think they have like a trial period (there was a lot of info in a short time), so continued prayer would appreciated :)

Ha! The only friend I have from Scotland says you're going to have to get pretty cranky if you want to fit in there. ;)

And the accents are stunning...and occasionally, at least for me, stunningly incomprehensible. Am I alone? (wouldn't be the first time.)
Not to sound all snobbish, but...maybe highlanders? I can't figure out what it is...natch ppl like Gerard Butler and David McCallum, np.
I had a Greek (female) friend who was dating a Scottish guy, and she said English was a second language for both of them. lol
But I suspect it's fairly gorgeous there...if I could visit just one place, I think it would be the UK. (no offense, Astrid. Southern Norway would be lovely, I think. But I do like my days to have a rather equal measure of dark and light. Thus, I avoid northern Alaska...haha ;) )

I hope you won't continue to see yourself not getting a job, just because your Father promises He will take care of you, beloved. ♥
My prayers keep reaching Him. :) (I love that He knows what I'll ask Him before I do. :) )

Uh- oh, they are cranky? Now that will get interesting as I can be very stubborn at times, hehe.

Yeah, it will be interesting to make a living of helping people on the phone before I start understanding what they say :D
I do wonder what the climate will be like, with all that fog (!). Guess I have to make sure I don't forget my raincoat.

Hey--yeah! Shekaniah's right! Tales, and pictures, pictures, pictures! (landscape, not personal ;) )
Is this southern Scotland, like the Edinburgh area? (one of the first things I taught my kids was how to pronounce Edinburgh!)

I finish my bachelor degree next week, and obviously want a job to use my new skills.

The thing is, it seems that what the companies expect us to know is ten levels above what the curriculum in school was about, this in combination with low self estreem makes it quite scary.

I also need a new place to live, as my current place is for students only, and I have to leave after this month. I am blessed in having parents that will take me in, but obviously I cannot stay there forever.

Please pray I get a job where I can be be useful to my employers and co- workers, and that I get one that is long- term. Also please pray I find an apartment in reasonable distance that is affordable, as I do not have a lisence.

Thanks :)

God is awesome!! I will definitely include you in my prayers!!! You have a heart for God. Trust Him! You are in His hands!

Oh yes I will be taking pictures, I have a cannon digital camera and a 16gig memory card :D
Will keep you all updated. I don't think I will be posting pictures as I don't want anyone to know where I am (posts can be read outside CC), but I can PM some to those people here that I know well enough :)

So... my dad has been browsing around the internet, and found an article by a guy who worked for manpower / IBM at the place I am going, and he had a loong list of bad stuff to say about everything there :/ Please pray it's not like that now. He more or less points a picture of them paying a minimum wage that barely is enough for one to buy food after the other costs, that they try to make people work extra without getting paid, and that they use the fact that people have little money to try to get them to stay as they end up in debt and have problems leaving. (most of those working at the call center are young people from other countries).

It's making me worried :S But on the other hand I would hate to miss the opportunity to live in Scotland. I am having troubles trusting God, and if this doesn't turn out good I sure won't have my trust strengthened.

ok, I am finished rambling now. Thanks for listening.

Father may all her needs be met through you!
She is Your child Lord, You are able to make favor and earthly blessings -
come to her in abundance, and in all circumstances she will prosper
because of Your Love for her!

She will be furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.
May she be of good cheer and bring Your Joy and Love with her to work daily!
In Jesus Name, Amen

With God on Your side you will prosper and be blessed!
Love, prayers and hugs sweet sister!
God keep you close always, Shekaniah

Sometimes when someone has only negative things to say about a company it's a case of 'sour grapes'. They have a complaint about the company and therefore do their best to run it down. They may not have been a good worker and so they didn't get promoted and now are out to damage the company.....this is a possibility.

Congratulations on getting the job...how exciting! I love listening to the Irish/Scottish accent. I visited Ireland last year and found myself starting to speak with a lilt...it's contagious ;)

update:

I am in Scotland. The flat won't be ready until Friday next week. When I was there to look at it it, it was chaotic. Electrical wires sticking out of the walls, trash from carpeting and tapestry all over, and no washer.... They promised it will be fixed by Friday.... I will be doing the paperwork tomorrow when I have my work contract.

....so please pray they keep their promises, it was the only place I can afford unless I am to share a kitchen/ living room with 5-7 others ...

Also, my first day of training is tomorrow (eeek! :p )

Thank you for your prayers :)

To quote Lucy---ewww! lol

Abba, You always keep Your promises! (thanks ♥) Please light a fire under these people to make them faithful, too. Thank You for bringing Astrid safely to Scotland! Please take care of each detail, as You have always done. With much praise and thanksgiving, and in Jesus' Name.
