First, I would like to thank all of you who prayed for my son in June!

PLEASE join my in praying for my son who will be visiting his father starting on Monday (7/2) until next Sunday (7/8). Please ask God to protect him from things he might hear and see. I also ask that you pray to keep him safe from any harm. This is the 2nd of 3 week long visits that he will have this summer. My son's name is Michael.

I can't thank you enough!

Lara! You KNOW I'll pray! :)
And there's no way I will forget, because my kiddos will be vacationing in a house on Sacandaga Lake in the Adirondacks this week, and there won't be many moments I'm not asking the Lord to care for them...so each time I do, I'll lift Michael up, too. ♥

I'll also be praying for your own peace, dear one. How the Lord loves you (and Michael!). And He is with you both, in every moment.

Psalm 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Rest in the Lord and know that HE IS and that HE WAS and will take care of your child and that the father will meet his SAVIOUR and REDEEMER through your son. I pray that you contiune to put all your trust, care, comfort and love in the Lord. Don't worry GOD is ABLE. Amen.

Abba, how we love You! How amazing that we may come boldly right into Your throne room to ask for what we need! Thank You, gracious Father. ♥
In this moment I lift up Michael. I ask You to protect his little heart and mind. Please guard him as he sojourns with his earthly daddy. Abba, even though he is young, I ask that he may hear Your voice as you say to him, "This is the way, walk in it." No matter what happens while he's away from his precious mommy, give him discernment to see You--Truth--Jesus!
Help him to tell his mommy the things she needs to know when he gets home, and give them the wisdom to understand and deal with these things.
Lord, please guard the words spoken and deeds done in front of Michael while he's with his dad. May they be pure and undefiled. Keep little Michael physically safe as well.
My Father, thank You for Lara. Thank You for her love for You, and her love for her child. You've made her a wonderful mother, and you are teaching her what it means to t-r-u-s-t You, which isn't easy when it comes to our babies, Father. Help us all to KNOW that You are for us, and that we may safely trust You with and in all things, even and especially those people most precious to us.
I ask these things courtesy of my Lord Jesus, and trust (believe!) You hear and respond.♥
Thank You!

Lara, I covet your prayers for my children. One of the nicest things about being at the lake is being completely cut off from the outside world.
No television, radio, or cell phone reception unless you drive 20 minutes into town.

And one of the least wonderful things about having the children at the lake is...you guessed it! I can't pick up the phone and ask my 17 yo how things are going. lol
One of these days I'll learn to trust the Lord...:)
love,
ellie

Isa 32:18 " And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places"

This is my prayer for you today that your dwelling place is found in the peace and in the resting habitation of our God and that the same anointing power of the Holy Spirit will evoke the purpose of God in the father through the son with a simple faith of a child. LOVE YOU GUYS blessed, praise Him, praise HIM, praise Him.

Thank you everyone so much for all your prayers for Michael and I. I dropped him off to his father a few hours ago... he clung to me and didn't want to go. Breaks my heart! I will be calling him tomorrow to hear his voice. I am trying so hard to trust God, I just don't understand why this is so hard.

May God Bless you all!!

Lara, we had three lovely daughters when our son was born. I found myself, as he grew, wondering if I could e-v-e-r give him up to die for wonderful, good people, let alone the dregs of society, as it were. My answer, of course, was always, NO!

I think it's hard because Michael is your child; the most precious thing you know of. Flesh of your flesh, bone of your bone.
You want my iPhone? My computer? My Bose? My car? My home? Have at it! But "my" children???
So, we deal with two issues. First, they belong to the Lord. They're a gift, and it's such a privilege to raise them and be a part of their lives.
But it's for such a short time--(believe me! :) )
Second, they're our babies! It's easier to trust the Lord concerning things which pertain only to ourselves, or perhaps to beloved friends or other family.
Not so with our kiddos. Every instinct rebels...we become momma bears when we feel they may be threatened.
We "know" God loves them more than we can possibly imagine...it's just hard to imagine that could be true, so much do we love them.

I thought of this verse as I was typing this, and I'll pray it for you this week:
Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.

Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands Isaiah 49:15-16
I picture the scars on Jesus' hands...He has indeed, as the KJV says, graven us on the palms of His hands.
I know you know all this...I just hope the reminder is timely. :)

The Lord loves you, Lara. I continue to pray for your peace, and that we will all learn to trust Him completely. ♥
love,
ellie
