Ramadan July 20 – Aug 18

The Beatitudes found in Matthew 5:3-12 are simply stated but profound in meaning. They guide and teach. They show us the values that Christ cares about. These values, if followed, brings a believer into a state of peace and joy. And, as the believer reflects Christ in them they may also bring others into the Kingdom of God.

Did you know that there are millions of Muslims who have never experienced this peace and joy?

So, during this season of Ramadan, as we focus on what lesson God is revealing through His scripture, let us first lift up in prayer our brothers and sisters in Christ who live in Islamic dominated nations… strengthening them, empowering them, comforting them…then, let us pray for Muslims worldwide, that many will come to know the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sign-up today and receive the Open Doors 30-day Ramadan prayer guide and a quick reference guide on Ramadan and the Islamic religion.

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall possess the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3-12)

Thank you, Sarah, for bringing this to us. I felt the same way after my husband and I started supporting Voice of the Martyrs...it's humbling, and makes me so grateful to be where I am, and who I am (in Him!) and mostly for Who He is!

My niece worked in Bahrain for a year, and her stories are so sad. And a little scary, I gotta admit. :( (though in Jesus I need not, nor should I have, fear!)
I was awfully glad when she came home, though. ♥

I'll pray!

Praying in agreement for all our brothers and sisters around the world. Also praying strength over us Christians where it is getting more and more harder to be a true follower of Christ without being persecuted mentality. For if Christ is for us, who can be against us and Greater is He that lives in me than He that is in the world. Remember, a lightbulb shines brightest in the dark room. So it is with us Christians, His light shall shine through us brightest in the darkest of circumstances. God is good.
