This summer has been the lowest point of my life... I'm going through a very tough trial. The Bible, Christian friends and pastors, they all say to have faith, believe, be strong, trust in Him, don't worry, be patient, etc. and I know this is the truth and what I should do. But I pray, praise God, go to church and Christian support groups, and it just feels like it's getting harder and harder to keep "pressing on in faith".

I love to help and encourage others who are struggling and hurting (especially young people)... but it just feels like what I tell others about God's love and grace isn't applying to me. I love God and praise Jesus for all the wonderful things He has done for me. But this summer has just beaten me down so much!

I feel like it's only a matter of time before I completely give up on my faith.

To set your time apart, were it is just you and the Lord, to seek him, till you find him, could fasting.

Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Psalm 27:8
You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.”

John 6:37
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

1 Samuel 3:21
And the LORD appeared again at Shiloh, for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

God Bless and may he give you an exceeding measure of faith, in Jesus name, amen.

Don't lose hope.

Praying for you, for God to lift your spirit and increase your faith many fold, so that you may continue to spread the wonderful love of Christ through testimony of His works in your life!

And I really want to repeat what you've been told, because it is so important to be patient and strong and wait upon the Lord.

Like your username states, you just have to believe--believe that God really loves you and doesn't want you to lose faith in Him. Believe that He is bigger than the problems you may be facing right now, and that He will lift you from those valleys of despair.

One of my favorite Bible verses: Isaiah 40:31--"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."
--Sometimes in our walk with God, we feel like giving up because we are so worn down by the world. But when we are about to faint, God catches us and we go higher than we were before!

And a song:

One of the greatest gifts in faith Jesus brings is to be joyful and praising when all is just lousy.
But these times are trully a lesson and gift in faith, for Jesus brings during these times a streangth like mt zion, that cannot be shaken.
Too often one can be looking so much at the stryuggles, that they fail to see what Jesus is saying and giving to them. :)
Keep your eyes on Jesus, He will take care of the rest.
This is a witness to this gift in Jesus, as he finnally turned my head, so I would see this trully greatand loving gift.
Of faith in Him, no matter what! :)
Praying for all you need in Jesus Christ is Lord.

Hugs and God bless

A pastor I knew once explained the holy spirit as plumbings, used to bring Gods presence to us.

Now if you connect two different kinds of metal directly, some reaction takes place that destroys the metal, so you need a piece of something inbetween these pieces.

This piece gets word down over time, and might need replacing. In order to do this, the flow of water has to be turned off temporarily.

Sometimes we will experience lows and feel like it all isn't worth it, but once the piece connecting us to God has been renewed, the flow of water is more fresh than it was before!

prayer for you,
Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people

Praying for peace and rest for you brother.

Would a vacation help? Sometimes just going somewhere different and being around different people for awhile can rejuvenate us.

Why do you think God's grace doesn't apply to you?
