First of all, we were in the process of buying a house, and the deal was being closed on. Our family was told by the owners that we could move in, and the house (we THOUGHT) was about to be closed on. But, no. We found out that the house had $100,000.00 leans on it!!! It is so very shocking! My daddy has some work and he earned $1200 this last week, he does not have a regualr job but he did some painting and construction. Okay, and now the owners say we need to rent the house until we can get this mess straigtened up, so pa just had to pay them $1200 for two months of rent, cause we've been there for two months! I just need y'all to pray because it came as a shock to my whole family, and we need prayers. Pa needs a job...we're praying! So, just please keep our family in your prayers! :)
God Bless you all!

This is so unjust! We serve a Just God,
know that He is in control!
Love in Christ, Shekaniah

Heavenly Father,
Bring justice to this family.
Bless the man of the house with the means to take care of his family.
Give them peace, wisdom and insight...
So they may discern what is best for everyone.
In Jesus Name, Amen

LOL, Shekaniah! THIS was my first reaction, as I felt righteous indignation rising in my heart! I didn't feel angry, but I knew, knew, knew that what this man has done displeased the Lord. And I knew I would NOT want to be him.
These three verses sprang to mind:
Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right? Job 8:3

The strength of the King loves justice. Psalm 99:4a

For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS. (Matthew 16:27, caps in original)

I know there are loads more, enough for us to easily grasp what God thinks about justice.
Righteousness is one of the things inherent to our God. (hooray!) And yet He tempers it with mercy...how wonder-full. :) I pray this man will come to know Jesus as his Savior so he can be forgiven by the Lord, and not face His wrath on the day of judgment.

God so clearly tells us what He wants from people:
He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Abba, You are just and merciful. You tell me to love kindness, and for that reason I ask for mercy for this man who has acted in an unjust manner toward Your own dear children.
But, Lord God, I also ask that You will uphold justice for this family. Even in this unjust action, Sarah's father did what was right, and paid the man. Thank You for this witness of You. I ask and trust that You will provide this family with the means to live until more work can be found and money earned. I renew my prayers for Sarah's Pa to find a job, and I thank You for the work You've given him while he waits for the job You have in store for him.
Thank You for the presence of this precious child on this site. You have made her to be a blessing to us...to me! Her faith is such a witness of Your own faithfulness.
I praise You for all these things, because You are deserving of all the praise I could ever give You, and so much more. I thank You for seeing to what I have asked You for, in Jesus' Name, amen!

Thank you, SarahAnna. Your trust increases my own. ♥

I realize that the US has some laws I concider strange, but really, if he sold you a house with such a high cost and didn't inform you, won't he automatically be held responsible by the legal system?

Either way, I will pray.
