Congratulations simplyme_bekah!!
I used to smoke as well a long time ago. My husband and I gave it up cold turkey and it was hard the first month because we were surrounded by people who smoked.
We bought lollies and gum so each time we felt the urge to smoke we would pop a lollie or gum into our mouths.
After a while we felt the difference in our health. We had more energy and could breathe better.
I wish you all the best and of course with God, He will give you the strength to cope with it.
My prayers to the Heavenly Father for the both of you!!

I used to smoke quite a few years ago 20-40 per day, I tried many times to give it up and failed miserably, never got past the 2 week mark, then when I got saved the Lord removed it from me in an instant, but after a few months I got into bad company and started again, but after a few months, I got rid off the bad company, then I took a bout of Flu (now, I mean Flu, NOT a bad (head) cold) and I was flat on my back for 8 day, I never felt so (physically) miserable in all my life, I felt as if I had been kicked all over by a horse (or something similiar). Well, previously, when I was sick, I never smoked, so during this bout of Flu I didn't smoke either, and when I was well again the desire and taste to smoke had completely gone, and I have never smoked another cigarette sice then to this day...I am a real anti-smoker now, the Lord Jesus did a good job for me!

Keep at it and you'll get there, just ask the Lord Jesus every day for sufficient Grace to help you resist from the craving to light up! 1Cor 10v13, 2Cor 12v9, Phil 4v19...

Yahweh Shalom...
