I feel led to pray for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev that God would move upon his heart in a mighty way, then he would come to know Jesus and become a powerful force and witness for Christ to the Islam faith and others. Please join me.

Bookends - I too have felt the strong urge to pray for him, since the day he was in custody. He's been strongly on my mind and I've been praying for his salvation, that he comes to know Jesus. I've made it my mission to pray for him daily, that God will draw him. You also getting the same urge makes makes me wonder if he's meant to be saved. I hope all are praying for him :)

He's been on my mind today.

I'll be praying for his salvation. It's an awful thought how he is likely being treated right now in one of those terrorist camps. The US don't take terrorism lightly. The world is quick to condemn him for his actions, but he's 19 and we know he's a lost soul. If he knew Jesus he would not have done those things.

It's awful what happened, as many are suffering because of this, but lets pray that God saves him. Lets pray that good comes out of this situation. We know that churches had the highest attendance after 9/11 and many survivors came to know Christ through it all.

Hope others are still praying. I will pray for him again tonight.

He recently had a bedside court hearing. Link --> Dzhokhar Tsarnaev: Transcript of bedside court hearing

He could face the death penalty or life in prison as the maximum punishment.

Lets keep praying for him. I hope there is opportunity to write to him and share the love of Jesus.

I join you all in prayers for this sinner, that He will know the Lord, that He will be a mighty witness for the forgiveness and freedom from darkness, freely given to him, to all....and only available through our precious Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless, <><

\\\Same here, I have been deeply burdened and my heart broken for this young man. I had the chance to write him and included scriptures and encouragement without coming on to strong I mentioned that if he would like more scriptures he could also request a bible. I didn't want to come one too strong and push him away but I did tell him to ask Jesus to help him and told him that the holy spirit would comfort him and that he will never be alone.

What a beautiful thing that no man is beyond the reach of our loving, forgiving God! I will certainly keep Mr. Tsarnaev in my prayers, and hope that the comfort, the strength, and the freedom that the Lord gives us through salvation by faith alone reaches him sooner rather than later!

Stumbled back upon this today and was encouraged greatly by being reminded of how many Christians have prayed for Jahar. This comment was especially encouraging:

"I've made it my mission to pray for him daily, that God will draw him. You also getting the same urge makes me wonder if he's meant to be saved."

I still am running across new people who have felt that same calling. I truly believe God is going to save this young man. May he one day be our beloved brother in Christ.
