I would like to ask everyone to please keep my pastor in their prayers this evening. We started revival yesterday and it was obvious to many church goers that our pastor was not his usual self. However the pastor had suffered from the flu the previous Sunday evening and some wrote it off as him just not feeling 100% yet. But then tonight at revival they announced that Bro. Joe had finally gone to the hospital this morning and was found to have suffered a moderate stroke. Ironic the theme for our revival was titled joy through the journey. Please keep the pastor and his family in your prayers.

Also the church that I grew up in which is another small church in the next town over had an apparent attempted break in this afternoon. At this time all that is reported is that two elderly women were attacked and taken to the hospital. No other information has been given. Not that I feel immune because I live in a small town but you just don't get a lot of that here. So please pray as well for the families and the church involved in this attack, I don't believe the attackers have been caught yet.

It seems to me the local churches may be under attack, please keep our whole community in your prayers.

Oh, how sad, on both events! My prayers go out to your pastor and to the ladies who were attacked at the other church. How awful! I pray that they catch the thieves and return what was taken, and that the churches will be safe from such attacks.

All is in my prayers. Let us pray also for those that did the crime. May Our Lord Jesus use this as a time to convict and bring these to him in faith. Thankyou Lord Jesus. Amen
It has happened before , let us hope. God bless, pickles

Oh my word...how horrible....I shall pray, and also just a quick note/word of encouragement...our church was broke into a couple of times actually....well the second time, they stole our speakers for our sound system....that's not cheap items mind you...they also broke some windows, busted down many doors upstairs and in the basement, and other things. Well, the next day the speakers were brought back. They didn't work, but at least they were back and we had them repaired. God got a hold of whomever it was that did those things, and I'm sure He will do the same for those in this situation. We didn't get angry or anything, but rather we prayed for and love whomever it was that did those things.

As for the pastor, I shall pray as well. He will be okay, our pastor had a heart attack, open heart surgery to fix all the arteries, and then three strokes. He was in the hospital,in a drug induced coma for the longest, then when he wasn't, he was still in a coma for a while. God brought him through, he's getting his eyesight back slowly as well...doctors said he never would, but what do they know, they aren't God. His wife was also put in the hospital for a short time while he was in there...satan's attacking the church(es) or sure, however we must stand firm in our faith and strongly on the word/promises of God. Let your faith not be shaken, and God bless!

Thank you to all who are praying. I thought I would give a little update on the attack that occured, apparently it was a very violent attack. Both ladies are in their 60's and are in critical condition. One was flown to a bigger hospital a few hours away from here. One is suffering from a brain injury and the other was beaten beyond recognition. They believe the attack to be robbery related and have no suspects.

Father in the name of Jesus please heal these two women who were brutally attacked in this really senseless act. Who can do such things as beating two elderly women almost to death? I Pray persons responsible are caught and brought to Justice, and your name is Glorified Lord Jesus Throughout the whole earth. Amen.

Thank you again anyone who is praying for these situations. Just a quick update, my pastor did get to come home from the hospital yesterday... A day early! He is looking at speech therapy but doing very well.

As for the ladies who were attacked they are said to be stable and improving. The oldest lady has since also suffered a heart attack I believe while in the hospital. She has several broken bones in her face and is very swollen therefore they are keeping her in a medically induced coma until the swelling goes down. Then they will be able to do surgery.

Here is another link to another story if anyone is interested...

Just another update on my Pastor. He is home and seems to be doing relatively well. His speech and movement do not seem to be affected at all, however his memory has been. He was told that he will never be able to give speeches again. However we all know God is a mighty God and he is not letting the devil win this battle. He will be getting speech and occupational therapy and our prayer is that he will overcome this. Thanks again for any and all prayers, they are so greatly appreciated!

Doctors have been proven wrong so many times, and they even admit many of those times that it's something beyond human power. Some even go so far as to admit it's a miracle. God's the great physican, no limit(s) for Him, keep on trusting and praying. God bless!
