Paul was a murderer and hunted down and killed or jailed Christians. He was religious and prideful. He went on to write a large portion of the New Testament. You really think you did more than Paul? Yet God not only still loved Paul, but used him to help write the bible.

Though i don't know why someone needs to talk to you about this off site.

Abba God loves you. His mercys are new every morning, if you pray and it is the HOly spirit that is convicting you, of any wronge that needs to be brought before the Father, but it is not condemnation, for he God wants you to pray and talk to him, devil does not, and makes you feel unworthy, and says ah ha, look what you did, quote the scriptures and believe, you are deeply loved by the Father, and Jesus.

Channing. I am not a pastor, but I wanted to respond. I hope that's ok. :)

The good news is this: You are here seeking Christian help and that is what God WANTS us to do. It is in our bad times; sin, fear, faithlessness that we seek out God. That is when He works in our lives....IF we simply ask. He wants us to ask for Him and your are doing that.

Christ died so our sins would be forgiven, that was the whole point of His suffering. That was the whole reason God sent Him to us. Don't allow yourself to dismiss that great thing the HE did for us. Accept His freely given grace and forgiveness. It says in the Bible that everything we have done, are doing now, and will do in the future, is already forgiven. How wonderful!

Your only job is to understand what you did and know that it was wrong, and let God know you want His forgiveness. Oh... and you have to figure out how to forgive yourself. Sometimes that's the part that trips people up.

I love the story of Peter. Jesus told him he would deny Him and Peter didn't believe that he would do it. And then he did!...THREE times! Peter was distraught over his betrayal of Jesus, and could hardly accept that Jesus had already forgiven him. :)

Take care. Know that there are people out here praying for you. Gail

The Prodigal Son is one of the parables of Jesus. It appears in only one of the Canonical gospels of the New Testament. According to the Gospel of Luke (Luke 15:11-32), a father gives the younger of his two sons his inheritance before he dies. The younger son, after wasting his fortune (the word 'prodigal' means 'wastefully extravagant'), goes hungry during a famine. He then repents and returns home, where the father holds a feast to celebrate his return. The older son refuses to participate, stating that in all the time the son has worked for the father, he did not even give him a goat to celebrate with his friends. His father reminds the older son that everything the father has is the older son's, but that they should still celebrate the return of the younger son as he has come back to them. It is the third and final part of a cycle on redemption, following the Parable of the Lost Sheep and the Parable of the Lost Coin.

There is only one sin that cannot be forgiven and that is a sin not repented of.

God has never stopped loving you. His love has never lessened, even on your worst day of sinning. Do not be deceived, there are consequences for our actions and choices, but God loves you still and will stay with you through the consequences. His love knows no bounds.

Romans 8:37-39 says, "In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love - not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!"

And that includes our past sin!
