For awhile now I have been having trouble connecting with God on a higher level. Awhile back I made a big mistake and was mean to one of my close friends and I'm now hurting, because I realize it now. I just need God more than ever but when I call his name I don't feel anything anymore.

Is it possible for you to apologize to your friend? If you've repented, you are forgiven. Rest in that. But, if it is possible for you to make things right with the person, I highly, highly, highly recommend you do so and that you simply apologize, admit your area of wrong, and then ask forgiveness. Don't point fingers or say why you did what you did. Just apologize, admit, and ask. :)

And, take it from me, God is there even when you don't feel Him. Just seek and listen and you will hear Him and, yes, feel Him again. I've been there so I can say this with great authority. :)

Everything we do has consequences and many real painful. Can you send a letter to your friend sometimes it is the best way to fix things. Then they can here you without anger or hurt over flow. I pray you learn what was to learn and that God will restore this friendship. A good friend is hard to find and when you have one it is a special treasure.

It sounds like your grief from what happened with your friend is holding you back from God’s best. Sometimes when we have a deep pain we pull away from God not him from us. Pray repent to the Lord and ask him to restore the closeness you have known to even a deeper way. He is right there with you just open your heart to him. He is the giver of all comfort.
God Bless

I am praying for you. I could use as many prayers as I can get as well. I'm 19 years old and just went through "hell" with the 19 year old girl who I thought was the love of my life. I was with her on and off for 8 and a half months, we were going to get married even though I knew she was unstable. We planned on having a child and a month ago we succeeded and thus she was pregnant. Yesterday she had the child aborted :( out of pure craziness and anger. I was really looking forward to being a father, I am taking this abortion extremely hard.

AS long as you feel peace, Jesus is our Prince of Peace, let it go, condemnation is not from God, it seems you were convicted, and prayed. Peace is all we need, my grace is sufficient for you, the word said. Lord bring him closer to you,"draw nigh unto me and I shall draw night unto you, saith the LORd.

Father,

We come before your throne for our brother in Christ, Byran95. Give him courage and strength to reconcile with his friend and forgive himself. I'm thankful, Lord, that you have such a great grace and make it available for us at all times. We submit our will to our Lord, Jesus Christ, and celebrate every moment how much he loves us. Sooth the guilt that is in his heart, Father. I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Father I lift up Bryan to you. We have all hurt the people around us and wished we could change things. I pray Bryan's friend has their heart open to being friends again. Father fill Bryan with the holy spirit, his heart is crying out to you Lord. Fill him with such sudden strength and peace, that there is no doubt you are providing what he need Lord. This I ask in the name of the Lord Jesus, who suffered so greatly for us all. Amen
