I've been struggling with having acid reflux and esophigial spasms( or what they think is reflux). It starts around october and ends around march. It gets really bad where medicine doesnt even work, so i end up having to go to the hospital. I'm not sure why i only have it certain months out of the year, because i eat the same all the time. So a couple days ago the reflux started up again, and ive been up both nights almost all night with it. I get chest pains so bad it feels like im having a heart attack, and this lasts up to about 6 or 7 hours, till it just suddenly goes away or i end up going to the hospital because im in so much pain.

So i would ask that you pray this goes away, or that even god would reveal to me the reason why i only get it like five months out of the year at the same time of year. I've been to the doctor and gasterointerologist for this and they suggest i have all types of things from GERD to esophilesophogitis, but i know its neither one because if it was i would have these symptoms all year round. My G.I. seemed a little concerned it could be my heart or something in my stomach causing this.

So please please pray, because im not sure what to do at this point.

Absolutely, on the list. Be sure to ask professionals regarding the heart issue. My cousin (who's only 31) had a heart attack that presented as acid reflux to him, so there could be heart trouble that is getting worse that could be causing this feeling. Regardless, I'll absolutely be praying for the frist person to give me a hearty laugh on the site! ;)

My prayers are with you. Scriptures to read PRN (often as needed)
Jer. 30:17 "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord;,,,,

Ps. 25:18 "Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins."

Ps. 25:20 "O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashmed; for I put my trust in thee."

well im in medical school right now and what i know is that it could be a series of issues that can build up, do you eat fiber or how about the climate does it change in that period, do you do something different in that time period, are you in physical stress, what else, uhm thinking........the problem may be in your duodenum or your stomach probably in the jejunum (or begining of the small intestine). This does not discard your liver, gall bladder, pancreas or nervous system. (-: i hope some of this helps in some way. take care
