Hi Everyone,

I've been in a lot of pain with my side for the past 4 days. The pain is increasingly getting worse. I get kidney stones and i'm not sure if this is what it is, and I can't get an appointment with my doctor until Feb 11th.

I'm really struggling with anxiety over this and i'm feeling very fearful. Could you all please be praying for me.

Thank you :)

I'll be praying.

What are you currently doing for your kidney stones?
We do have a few doctors and nurses around here.

Holly - you make me cry. The thought of you hurting is hurting for me too. I will pray for you but mostly you're going to be just fine and it's OK. You'll see. I'll pray right now.

Oh no! My dad usually drinks a light beer to keep his kidneys flushed since he learned of that trick. Do you know if they are diet related? I have found that excessive amounts of calcium tends to be the cause to either consuming too much or not enough Vitamin D to process it. I will definitely be praying for you girl!

Praying for you to find some solutions to this pain. I understand kidney pain is horrid! I had an infection once, and I was in hospital by night.

Wait, beer is good for your kidneys?

The thing with alcohol is: doctors often suggest that the risks outweigh the benefits and if you don't drink don't start now just to get some purported health effects (antioxidants in red wine, increased cardiovascular health, etc.). Also, the Finish beer study suggests that beer consumption might be linked to the prevention, rather than the treatment of some kidney problems.

Holly, you poor thing!

When I worked for my doc, we always kept a list of patients who needed to be seen soon.
Then if we had a cancellation, we would call the folks on that list to see if they'd like to take the spot
that had become available.

Even if they don't go to that extent at your doc's office, you may want to call and ask to be notified if there's a cancellation.

You are in my prayers this day. ♥

Thank you all for your prayers.

I went to an Urgent care this morning and the doctor determined that it is kidney stones.

I sincerely appreciate each of your prayers. I have felt a great deal of peace today and last night.
