Have you deleted your Facebook account? You can technically reactivate it at any time but it helps because you know that no one will be trying to contact you through it, and no one can post on your wall or anything, so there is no need to check it.

Father, I pray that You will be with Samantha as she takes a break from social media. Help her use this time to draw closer to You, to spend more time doing things she loves and perhaps even to serve others during her time of healing.

Samantha, I think it is wise for you to take a break. There is so much drama online. When you are trying to recover from a difficult situation, it is best to avoid as much drama as possible. I'm doing the same right now and God is doing powerful things/making amazing changes in my life. I pray He does the same for you. :)

FaKebook serves for nothing! If you lack real friends, you probably lack spare time to talk and share with those the street gives (or might give) for free.
I check it once in a while to see "the world" I cannot see while I walk my "normal" life. I have some real friends there I use to phonecall or EVEN meet (quite personal).

I´m not an absolute hermit (I wish I were) but God and Christ sent me to dealt with my fears, my failures, etc., so I had better shaping myself interacting with people. No matter how ugly, fat or thin I might think of them (I´m ugly, fat and thin for their taste, too) :)

I just DO BEG you keep on with the real people you might meed AT YOUR NEIGHBOR, your own state, your country and, if you really have the idea of leaving your own folks (many are so, but namely) leave some things behind and live the girlscout or boyscout way (I have done it so).

Enjoy life and be unplugged! Life is just out there. In the church (though it functions like a spiritual hospital), in the streets (where you can find some troublemakers like me) but life is OUT and the inner men (or women) is too often willinb to play his/ser "hide & seek" that we miss real life and it always would bring some pain.

Be blessed! :)

Lord, I'm praying for Samanthalee and others dealing with stress and addiction. Thank You that You are a Deliverer, and we praise You for how You are about to deliver Your people and set them free. In Christ's Name, Amen.

"You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance." --Ps. 32:7

samanthalee, my personal opinion of facebook is this: its absolutely, ridiculously stupid!! LOL. I dont have facebook and I would never create an account on there under ANY circumstance. Facebook is an incredibly public entity whose patrons seem okay with posting EVERY little moment of their lives on. If you want privacy, and some peace and quiet, lol, stay far far away from crazy facebook!!! :p I know people who would literally just about die if they couldnt get on facebook every day, which is just another reason why its so ridiculous to be on there. I dont have facebook or Skype or Twitter or any of that junk. I barely even use my Yahoo messenger! LOL. I think FB would only create, and/ or add to anyone's stress level, and it can absolutely be an addiction if your on it 24/7/365. Pray for the strength and willpower to stay off of this evil entity that the devil uses for his wicked plan to destroy us.

Facebook is nothing more than a waste of time. It brings out the ugly side of people that you know they would not have done otherwise. I've tried staying off that site as well but I mainly log in since I follow some pages of kids with illnesses and it updates about how they've been. That's all facebook serves for me.

Hope you're able to break your addiction with what ever issue you're having with it. In the end, it's not really all that worth hitting up with people on there...
