Today I didn't go to Sunday morning service because I have a pretty nasty cold and didn't want to spread around. Anyways, I feel as though the Lord would have me to pray for the entire Body of Christ, especially here in America and I thought I would post it here and encourage everyone to do the same....
Father God, I praise you and thank you for yet another day. I praise you and thank you for all that You have done and all that You are doing in our lives. I praise for for provision, for meeting our needs. I praise you for all the comforts in this life that you have blessed us with.
Abba Father, according to the urging of your Holy Spirit, right now I want to lift up every born again believer to you in prayer, especially those here in America. I pray Lord that you will break every principality and power, every spirit of fear, every spirit of depression, every spirit of complacency, every spirit of procrastination, every spirit of pride, every spirit of division, every spirit of self exaltation - be it individual or corporate ideologies that attempt to exalt themselves over You father.... in Jesus name, I pray.. may they be cast down!
Father I pray that You will shake everything that an be shaken. I pray that your Holy Spirit will descend upon us with an all consuming fire... one that will set our spirits a blaze... let that which is not of you be burned away like hay and stubble... leaving only that which of you, that which is eternal and true, to shine like precious jewels ... so that we may not only recognize the desires of your heart but that we reach out and take hold of those things, your character - your likeness, not only to capture them in the recesses of our minds but also to capture them in our hearts so that we may apply them in our daily lives..
I pray that you will place within us a burning desire to please you father - to walk in your will and in your ways - to be in the world and not of the world - so that your light - your love - may shine deep within us and manifest outwardly through us like a city on a hill, so that those who are lost, those who are in need, those who are at a crossroads, those who are hurting, those that may be dying, those who are in mourning, and those who may have hit rock bottom... that they may find you... for you are the way - the truth - the life - you our precious Lord and Saviour...you are the name above all names .. Jesus Christ - in your holy and precious name we pray... Amen.
