Prayer needed

I don't want to go into much detail, but basically I am being mocked for my passion to constantly read the word of God, and have fellowship with fellow believers, be it here on CC or at my church. Sarcastic jokes are made when I wake up in the morning and the first thing I do is read my bible, and hints are thrown my way about it, they hurt, but I try to take it as light hearted comments, rather than mockery. But as time goes by, these comments are followed by nit picking and sometimes provoking arguments over the simplest things... I feel my faith in God is being tested and right now I feel worn out.

Well, you're not weird for reading your bible everyday or whatever. I don't read mine everyday, but I try very hard too.

God sees and has the devil under control with the leash on, he has been bound cast out of heaven, and as the word says, the Kingdom of God is within us, we've been given the word and turn it over to the Lord, with the Authority In Luke 10:19. I received answers from the Lord today, Jesus is praying for you, John 17 he is interceding for you, he asked the Father to Keep us from the evil one." This means he will divide the mountain, the sea, and as you start to cross over, he will allow them to enter just enough to be caught in the Wave of destruction, and they will be destroyed. If they are without Christ, he destroys the wicked, but forgive those here, no ones perfect, and even forgive those who hurt you, for Greater is he that is in us, Jesus the Anointed one, than he that is in the World. Forgive, don't let things push you off the sure foundation of Christ, wasn't it said, when the wind and storms come, the person who built his house upon the FOUNDATION OF JESUS YESHUA THE CHRIST OUR SAVIOR AND CONQUEROR OVER EVIL, AND SIN, AND DEATH, that we will STAND, when all is done, STAND AND SEE THE HAND OF THE LORD. Jesus knows about it.

Tash, it is difficult to be the brunt of such comments & such...But I will most certainly pray for you...Ask God to give you the grace, strength & wisdom to pray for those for those who treat you in this manner...I know it is not easy...God, through the Holy Spirit has taught me to love those who betrayed me....nothing short of a miracle I assure you...I try to remember Romans 8:28-29 in such situations & pray through that scripture that God allow me to see from His perspective...

Tash, I know its not easy...know you have support here & absolutely from the ONLY one that matter - and that is God.

Many times I have found that people's reactions & commentary say more about them than they do about their target. In this case your passion for the Word of God has struck a nerve...and it is a glorious witness...Their responses may be from fear, anger, insecurity...these God will reveal as you pray, but, remember the opposite of Love is not Hate...in my opinion the opposite of love is apathy...if they did not care they would not respond...your passion has pushed them out of their comfort zone & they must feel a need to "defend their territory" - Your passion is a powerful witness...your emotions are important to God - take them to prayer to Him & know I am praying for you.

I am praying for you sister, God wants us to get deep into His word. So don't worry that you not pleasing man because that's not the goal anyway.

Maybe you should consider finding a new church?

Hi Tash, your username sounds familiar but I don't know if I've seen you around CC. I imagine you're talking more specifically about activity in the Bible Discussion forum? I find it gets pretty heated at times but every now and then there's a good debate that stays fairly civil. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. Praying for you.

It's not you - it's them. Continue to do what's right and pleasing to the Lord.
If other Christians mock you for what you are doing I can only guess that it's because they are jealous and in their hearts they know they should be doing what you do. Instead of raising themselves to doing good, however, they choose to put you down instead. Don't be fooled! Your good deeds are seen by God and man, and you don't know how those seeds planted in people's hearts through you will grow!
As we pray for you through cc, pray for those who ridicule you that they may have a change in heart.

As a Christian you should give everything to God so you're not doing anything wrong and you are not weird, I listen to Christian songs all the time and pray and go to church and I don't care what people think about me as long as I am worshiping my God and Savior and it feels great God is always here for you, never feel weird for loving Him that much He's loving what you are doing more than you can imagine

Sometimes I have found that the most difficult aspects of some situations is "living through the minutes"...Unfortunately, life doesn't come with a fast forward button...but God has a reason...Lord knows Isaiah 55:8,9 are beyond my comprehension...I trust...and I know you do...We have faith...but the pain, at times, can be intense & it makes the minutes expand....especially in the moments when the people closest to us cause us pain...that can be a true challenge as the pain is amplified...I continue to pray for you & yours...Remember, and I know you know, God wastes nothing...

I remember the first time I read Christ feeding the 5,000 & he instructs the disciples to gather the fragments...I was struck by the thought that "He just miraculously created all that food, why collect the fragments?"....over time, I have learned God wastes NOTHING...EVERYTHING is important...and tears, pain....precious in His eyes...I do not know why this situation exists Tash, but, what I do know is this...there is a reason & that reason will be apparent & will bring Him glory & you closer to Him & your loved ones...Keeping your faith & trust in the minutes is the challenge...know I & others here pray for you...Have a wonderful day...God Bless you & yours...Will
