I have been having great difficulty winding down and going to sleep lately, and it is really taking a toll on me and my education. Different stuff have been going on that are causing worry and stress, and I can never seem to sleep when I need to sleep. I have been up well past midnight for the past 2-3 weeks. The past week it has been getting worse, and I have been up well into the morning. The problem is that I have to be awake and alert for my classes in the morning, well that's when my body seems to want to sleep. I have been unable to make myself sleep at a proper time. I am just asking that you guys could pray for me to be able to get some rest. Thanks, God bless.

sorry to hear about you having trouble sleeping! Especially since you have to be awake for school. I will pray for you cako. Have you tried doing something relaxing before you head to bed

I've tried lots of things, my mind just keeps racing. I like can't stop the thoughts, and even when I pray now I get distracted with other thoughts, and it is even starting to effect my spiritual life. Everytime I pray other thoughts flood my mind and I can't keep them out and I get distracted. I feel like I am going to explode pretty soon. Thank you for your prayers.

Try going for a walk before bedtime and do your thinking then. And try staying up a day and a half jsut before the weekend so you get back to some rythm

I go to bed listening to a bible study or sermon mp3

either i fall asleep or else i get fed

No problem cako, I battle the same thing. Mind goes everywhere but where it should. Seems like the brain never goes to sleep. Ive had alot of success with a natural supplament so if interested pm me. Otherwise I will keep you in my prayers big time.

Me too, actually. I'm insomniac. See, it's 4:57am here in B.C. and I'm still wide awake but tired. I've been awake all day...

Aw, sorry, I know how that goes. I struggled many years, even to this day I struggle. The thing is, do something to ware yourself out.No matter how you have to do it. When thoughts that you don't want or need enter your mind, rebuke them in Jesus name, and pray as hard as you must, against them! I'll keep you in prayer, you aren't alone, all of God's children are being attacked by the enemy, we must unite and fight the good fight of faith!

I do do that Sharp, my problem is it doesn't help, but I try and work out again before bad which actually doesn't help because your brain releases dorphins (or whatever they are called) and they actually keep you awake.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. I am making a doctor's appointment soon, I am going to go ahead and get my diagnosis on my focusing problems, and see if that helps my sleep.

it controls your awake/ sleep rhythm and occurs naturally in your body (or is supposed to)

The word also says whatsoever you bind on earth is bound in the heavens whatsoever you loose on earth is looses in the heavens so right now in the name of Jesus bind all problems that cause Cako from sleeping in Jesus name and in Jesus name we loose peaceful sleep over him. Hmmm why don't you try rebuking the stress? And worry in the name of Jesus. Have a talk with Jesus he's right there listening to you he wants you to speak to him when you have a problem or worry. Here's the thing, my focusing issues have been getting much worse, and I know I shouldn't be blaming them on my lack of prayer, but every time I start to pray I can never focus my mind and my mind begins to race over everything, and I can never settle down to pray. My prayers have been very off lately, and I realise that it isn't all do to focusing. Thank you for your prayer.

You should ask a family member, trusted friend or maybe your pastor to knock you out right before bed time

I struggle with that also, to much sugar will do that, to much time online then letting your mind wander builds a bad habit that is hard to break, stay focused on everything you do all day, a little discipline goes a along way. and No sugar or sweets. Are you going into deep sleep? Lack of sleep doesnt let your mind reset. Let God answer your Prayers, dont be worrying after you Pray.

Father in the name of Jesus we rest in you and your Ways and Wisdom, you will give us all we need and much more than we can even imagine to help us achieve all our dreams. Heal this one so they can focus and Pray and Praise and Worship you. Help this brother in his Study of your Holy Word, so he can be a bright light in this fallen world. satan you have to stay away from our brother in Jesus name ,we tell you to go and never bother him again.
