Hey everyone!
About a year ago my boss, and also a good family friend, was diagnosed with a brain tumour- she's only 30.
Since then she has been going through various treatments and tests including chemotherapy, but the tumour is continuing to grow.
This past week she had to resign as she has to start radiation soon. Because of this she won't have any income and may have to sell her house and her car and move back in with her parents.
We work in medical research and she is such an amazing person- easily working 20 hours of overtime each week just to see different projects progressing. She believes so much in her work and the necessity for further research, and having to resign from her position is breaking her heart, probably more than her prognosis is.
Her optimism could fool anyone - she never complains, is always looking out for others, like myself, to ensure they're taken care of, even as her symptoms are worsening (vision obstruction, etc). Throughout this I know she has turned to God in rare times of need.
I ask that you take a moment to pray for her. Pray that her spirit continues to be uplifted and that she learns to lean on God at all times, and not just on her bad days; to know that she is not alone.
Thank you so so much,
Em
