Attacked daily by demonized neighbor

My wife and I are being attacked daily in the form of a neighbor who sneaks over in the middle of the night and sprays round-up on every tree in our yard, including several fruit trees. She has been killing off our entire vegetable garden for 6 years running now. She is loosening lug nuts on our cars and breaking out car windows. She has poisoned our dog and cats. She seems to have no conscience left, so I have been praying imprecatory prayers. Our family is in danger as long as she is roaming free. I cannot afford any type of surveillance other than my computer with a webcam. I need to work every day, so cannot afford to do stake-outs late into the night. We have enough evidence to know it is her, but not enough to make an arrest. This is oppression in high gear and we need her to be caught, or just to go away. She acts like she is demon posessed. We are both worn thin.
Some well meaning Christian friends and family have said this will end soon. Please pray it does before our entire yard is destroyed, or we completely lose it. Much more to the story, but cut short for the sake of space.

Are you saying that the verse Romans 8:31 isn't true?

Does God not help his children?
If we could all help ourselves, why would we need God?


I think it's great encouragement and God is our protector, refuge and our stronghold.

To the OP praying for you. I hope and pray you do contact the authorities and gather enough evidence to indict this woman.

If you can afford it, get some security cameras to put around the outside of your house. Several magazines sell fake security cameras that look exactly like the real thing. Get some motion detector lights also. If you have a garage, put your cars in there at night. This woman sounds psychotic and completely off her rocker! Call the cops on her at every opportunity when she does this--report it each and every time.

You Haz Da Right.jpg If the cops get enough calls about her vandalizing your property, this is exactly what they will tell her when they arrest her. :)

Black platypus does not hold to the words of Paul ...only Jesus'. I and others have already went round and round with her about this

i think i might set up some surprises for her. some of the survivalist magazines and those of the military wannabees sell stuff like small firecracker like things that can be hooked up to trip wires. they were training devices. it might be interesting to see how high she could jump.

With this many alleged offenses against the property, pets, etc... described in the OP, I'd be amazed if the police haven't been called.
Deer camera's aren't all that expensive. They are camouflaged and can be secreted in a tree or somewhere out of sight and are motion activated to record. Capture her on camera committing yet another offense and go to the cops.

What she's costing in stress and harassment, not to mention property damage, is far more than the cost of security camera's.
If all this is true the woman is mentally ill. Having her arrested and suing her civilly for the damages and emotional distress, while demanding she have a psychiatric evaluation could save lives. If she'll kill animals, having no respect for those innocent little beings, she's capable of killing children or adults.

Definitely take legal action against her and obtain any and all evidence you can get, otherwise she's only going to keep doing it with your content by simply not doing anything about it. Is it only your property she is doing this to? Make sure to have a lawyer involved as well if legal action can be done since it does help. We had a neighbor in the past who liked to cause trouble too and still tried to do things after it was brought to court (long and dumb story in itself, but we eventually had restraining orders against one another). So yes, there are nutty people who want to stir up things just because and it's pretty sad when it comes to your own neighbor behaving in that fashion. If all else fails, the best thing to probably do is move if you can. Best of luck to you.

I think you misread my remarks.
This person is Christian and has said they've endured long suffering due to the alleged actions of this neighbor.

Should they continue to suffer and do nothing but pray? How has that worked out so far? God helps those who help themselves.

We can help ourselves. That doesn't mean we don't need God.
Do you not eat unless God sends you food from somewhere? Do you lock your doors? Do you wear a seat belt?



This is a story of a man, who was a firm believer of god.

One day it began to rain very heavily. It kept raining and a big flood came.
The man climbed up on the roof of his house, and knew that he would be ok. God would protect him.

It kept raining and now the water had reached his waist. A boat came by and a guy in the boat said: “Hey, jump in. We will take you with us”.

“No thanks”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me”. He sent the boat away.

It kept on raining and now the water had reached his neck. Another boat came by and a guy in the boat said: “You look like you could need some help. Jump in and we will take you with us”.

“No”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me. Don’t worry about me”. The boat sailed away.

It still rained and the water now reached his mouth. A helicopter came by and a guy in the helicopter threw down a rope and said: “Hi there my friend. Climb up. We will rescue you”.
“No”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me. I know he will”. The helicopter flew away.

It kept on raining, and finally the man drowned.

When the man died, he went to heaven. When entering Heaven, he had an interview with God.

After giving a polite greeting and sitting down, the man asked: “Where were you. I waited and waited. I was sure you would rescue me, as I have been a firm believer all my life, and have only done good to others. So where were you when I needed you?”

God scratched his confused looking face and answered: “I don’t get it either. I sent you two boats and a helicopter”.

I have no problem with you or anyone giving advice or telling people how to "help" themselves.

In my previous post I was just asking you why you had to object to crmvet's post on Romans 8:31. He didn't even tell the OP not to protect themselves.

He just posted a verse of encouragement.


Some other posters have also claimed you don't accept Paul's words, but you quoted Philippians 4:13, written by Paul, so I don't even want to assume anything with you.

So "God helps those who only help themselves", that's not in the Bible.

God can help anyone. Both weak and strong. (Isaiah 25:4, Romans 5:6, the whole book of Psalms) That doesn't mean we have to be fools.

That is all I have to say to you, I don't want someone else' prayer thread to turn into some debate. If you wish to pray for this person or advice, do go ahead.
I don't want to discuss anything further with you.

Try Radio Shack for an affordable system, as low as $60 or one that can be modified as an attachment to your computer. The prices are really decent.

You know your last statement caught my attention. Much more to the story, but cut short for the sake of space.

In my opinion, you have already the answers. You are just prolonging it. I believe this neighbor of yours has a long life-story, but it doesn't concern you and your family. You have to cut short her story involving you for the sake of not only space but for you and for her peace of mind. Easier said than done? Submit to God, trust him. He will provide all the way out. Finances, people? Is there anything too hard for the LORD when he knows you are doing the right thing for his name's sake? I suggest do not master your neighbor's action, master your fear or it will master you.

Above are opinions, but if half-truths are there.... it's worth the risk.
