I'm losing my best friend, I've lost my job, I just want things to go back to how they were or better.

I have had my own personal melt-down too. Don't look back, look up and then move forward.

Praying for you. This might sound weird but try listening to the song Keep Making Me by Sidewalk Prophets. When I felt like I was losing everything/everyone in life, I heard that song and it really helped me put everything in a new perspective. When it feels like everything is falling apart and being taken from you, it provides an incredible opportunity to put your whole heart into loving and worshipping God. It allows you to focus all your attention and energy into your relationship with God. Which, in time, you'll find leads you to new opportunities in your life as well. Definitely listen to that song if you get a chance. Also, I think it's important to know that everything (trials included) is part of God's plan. Speaking from experience, I just got out of a 6 month rut. That's half a year of every part of my life feeling like it was crashing down on me. I can officially say that from experience, I know that God is GOOD. God LOVES us more than we will ever understand during our time here on Earth. He does not want us to be miserable here, and if we let Him, He will hold our hand through it all and there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. I've made it to that light, and I've never felt so close to God. I know that if I hadn't lost everything and felt so depressed and ready to give up for six months, I wouldn't have gotten to the point I am. I wouldn't feel this close to our Heavenly Father. Granted, I'm only 19. I have so much learning to do in life, but I can speak these words I've said in this comment with the most confidence in the world. God LOVES you. God knows exactly what you're going through, and He will NOT leave your side. He is with you, ALWAYS. Please don't lose hope. I have faith that the Lord, our God, is planning something spectacular for your future. I promise I'll be praying for you. God Bless! :)

Thank you for those words, made me have tears. I know God has plans for me, but it has been so hard.
For two years I have been in love with my best friend who lives in a different country. I have visited him three times and become very close to his family.
It became a painful obsession and I think I have finally chased him away. God knows how much I've hurt all this time, but the pain is still here.
