hello, my friends. :)

our daughter gave birth to a lovely little boy two weeks ago. (thank You, Lord!)

but Alex is having some major digestive issues...some vomiting, diarrhea, colicky gas, green poop...
(forgive that blatant wording?)

he's so uncomfortable almost all the time. he's got a terrible diaper rash.
he's being tested for C difficile...results should be in tomorrow.

it's just that his mommy and daddy are becoming so weary.
worry about their little one and so, so much sleeplessness.
they're giving him a probiotic (doc's orders) and our Lizzie has cut out dairy and gluten.

please will you pray for this little family?
our daughter and sil are such wonderful parents...they don't care for themselves at all,
but our daughter gets a bit weepy over her son's suffering.

i'm kicking myself for not asking a week ago...

with thanks and love,
ellie

Awh :( I'll definitely be keeping little Alex and his mom and dad in prayer! That's hard to see a little one go through anything like that. Congrats on being a new grandma, Ellie, by the way :D

aww...you guys are the best! ♥

Alex is no better. the C-diff test was negative (thank You, Lord!),
but our Lizzie has been eating nothing but naked chicken and rice for four days.

i did the same thing when i was nursing her, and her brother, to no avail.
their immature digestive systems were lacking the enzyme necessary to digest protein,
and they had to have a special formula. :(

i don't remind our daughter of this...i tried for 3 months with her (i ate chicken breasts and green beans for a month),
and then 6 weeks with our son. (he was clearly in so much pain i couldn't wait longer...)
and she and her husband need to decide what they think is best for Alexander.

isn't it amazing what a parent will go through to do what's best for their little ones?
great picture of our Father, and our Lord Jesus.

so, please, if you will, continue to pray for our kiddos and our grandson?

with thankful love...

jo, i heard an elderly pastor say his grands are always so happy to see him, and he knows why that is...

because he's gonna take them to the toy store and say, whatever you want. :)

he said it's mom and dad's job to say 'no', and his job to say, whatever you want. ♥

Huge hugs Ellie to you, little Alex and your daughter and her hubby.
All are in my daily prayers in Jesus, for healing, streangth and help needed.
Remember two years ago when my daughter went through this with her son, sounds just like your grandson.
For the diaper rash, try eucerine in the jar, after months of a terrible diaper rash that came on right after baby was born, this was what cured and protected his tender toushy.
Was your daughter on any antibiotics during delivery?
My daughter found a conection between this and its contributing to diet issues.
We have the underdeveloped digestive issues in my family too, so know the challanges.
Also, any iron suppliment will contribute to difficulties as well, have your daughter try a vegie based natural iron suppliment, it helped alot.
I have a few other supprising ideas that we discovered and might help, just pm me if you are interested.
Went through this with my children as well, so became quite the expert, mostly though, because we had an amazing ped. dr . :)
Ill be praying.

Hugs and God bless

bless you, pickles. :)

i'll check with the kids...the doc gave them something for the rash, and there were no antibiotics,
but the vitamins...idk. good thought, and thanks!

Ellie, I was thinking about little Alex and his parents today... how are they?
first...i LOVE your signature! lol

thanks for asking. Mark and i went to see our daughter Monday morning,
and i did allow Alex's granddad to hold him for almost 20 minutes of the 5 hours we were there.
(so gracious, doncha think?)

Alex is gaining weight, but still having a lot of trouble. i could hear and feel his little tummy rumble.
(so if you would continue to pray?)
our daughter and SIL are really tired, but as we were leaving, i heard her say to her son--

i know it hurts. i know you're suffering. but you won't be alone. i won't leave you.

the Gospel!
i was so blessed.
